The place is very small and it caters to a lot of older customers. I am in my mid 40s but If you are in your mid 50s or 60s this place is for you. Oh ya, your debit or credit card is no use here. This place only takes cash.

$5.50 a pint Guinness. Yes you read that right. Best Guiness in Whitby. Cash only which is fine with me. Missing a trick not having an ATM but again dont really care. You come here for the conversation with the regulars and the $5.50 a pint Guinness

Great simple pub with the freshest Guinness you'll find outside of Ireland. Bartender is the perfect guy for the pub, to the point and friendly at the same time. Prices are a big plus.

This is exactly what I expected. Guinness pints are $4.50 taxes in. Bring your own food from down the street. Keep your debit card in your pocket. Cash only up front.Note - Guinness pints are up" to $5.50 now. Call it inflation. Everything else is the same."

Have not been to Downpatrick for a few years ‘at least’. Many years Always known the place to be a nice little pub with friendly quite conversation without trouble makers.Comfortable place for a ‘affordable’ pint. Thirsty-gotta-go. Cheerio!

Best place in the Durham Region, maybe even Ontario, to slug back pints of Guinness. You may even run into this group of lads. Great service, great company, and proper Guinness, what more can you ask for.

Nice small little bar. If you like Guinness, this is where you come. The bartender has the perfect poor. The foam coats the tip all the way to the bottom of the drink keeping the beer fresh to the last sip.

Two words: Guin. Ness. At 4.50 a pint, all in, you’re guaranteed satisfaction. With the plethora of restos in the area, it’s a culinary delight. Keep your plastic at home... cash only here! Amazing barman with a joke and an ‘old world charm’!
