Arbutus Cove Guest House & Cot

Been here before about two years ago, and as the cabin my husband and I went to every year before this was sold off during the COVID crash, we decided to come here. I think it's even better than I remembered. I uploaded some pictures of the Arbutus cabin because I thought the pictures people posted were totally inadequate, but this place has everything you need. The toaster oven is more than enough oven for two people, and there's a stovetop. The hot tub is glorious. The bed is comfortable. The sound on the TV is ridiculously good! Kathy is a friendly and generous host. Seriously, I love it here!

We thoroughly enjoyed the ocean view from inside the hot tub, sunset and sunrise! Privately nestled cabin in the woods with full kitchen and electric fireplace, large deck and king size bed, perfect for a romantic getaway.

What a lovely cottage on a gorgeous piece of property overlooking the water. Very clean and well maintained and the hosts are on site in case you need anything. Perfect access to the Galloping Goose trail. A little farther to walk to the restaurants than we anticipated so we ate in the cottage instead.

This place is ideal for us. It's close to family, right on the water, and a short walk to a great pub. The Galloping Goose trail runs right by the property, so we can jump on that to go mountain biking at Harbourview, ride into Sooke or just go for a stroll after breakfast. There's a hot tub on the deck, looking over the cove. Good WiFi. Finally, helpful and unobtrusive hosts - no need to listen to the owner's life story over poached eggs.

Excellent overnight stop on a bicycle trip from Victoria. Very bicycle friendly, convenient places to charge electric bikes.Large, comfortable rooms, uncluttered, and comfortable beds. Quiet for a nice night’s sleep.An idyllic location - a wonderful breakfast on the outside patio. And a very comfortable common area if you’re in a group.This was a special holiday.

Perfect for my group of 8 friends. Four bedrooms, each with two queen beds and a full bathroom, large common area where we play cards, huge private deck with hot tub. Delicious breakfasts. Located on the Galloping Goose Trail for walking and bicycling. Oceanfront views of Sooke Basin. Close to Sooke for dining and shopping. Easy walk to a pub.

Beautiful location! We rent the whole lodge with friends each year. We cycle in on Friday and cycle home on Sunday. Very accommodating to drop off our drinks for the weekend early! Super nice family.

The guest house is just charming. Great views of Sooke harbour. Breakfast is a treat. We were expecting cold continental breakfast. We received a hot, apple bread pudding with sausages. The property is very quiet. It is also right on the galloping goose trail which goes for kilometers in both directions. Kathy is a pleasure to deal with. All is great at Arbutus Cove, we will be back
