My wife was hospitalized for neurological issues and after she was discharged she was referred to this absolute disgrace of a doctor". The issue was urgent and needed to be dealt with sooner rather than later but regardless of any spark of professionalism out of this office there was no call for over a week. First contact was made after days and days of constant calling to which the appointment was scheduled over a week later. By which time they call to reschedule

Completely unprofessional. Cancelled appointments twice at the last minute and then when showed up for appointment at Centrepointe, the pharmacy let us know that Dr. Christie has moved to somewhere on Carling Ave. Pharmacy employee told us that they're not surprised we didn't know, they get a lot of people asking the same question. Tried to call countless times and no answer. She takes that last little bit of hope you have in the system and crushes it.

Please realize that there is a critical shortage of physicians, specialists in Ottawa and nation wide. The things posted about Dr. Christie and the clinic are not at all unique to her clinic. If you sat in the office for any length of time to see what exactly plays out, you’d understand why the phones cannot be answered all the time, or why things have to be cancelled last minute on you. Dr. Christie has this private practice and works at the Ottawa Hospital too. She carry’s a very heavy load along with her staff. Just be mindful of that, everyone is doing their best.If you’re a new patient coming on, maybe do some googling before hand, come prepared with a list of questions or medications you want to try (if you’re seeing her for migraines) this will prove to be very beneficial for both of you.Dr. Christie is a fantastic doctor and is always very open to discussing whatever I bring up to her. We’ve tried many things to tackle my migraines with some success along the way. Her staff is always friendly. They are great to follow-up before appointments to see if anything has changed with my health, the frequency of migraines etc. Although appointments do get cancelled sometimes, the same thing happens with my family doctor. It isn’t the end of the world. They always call you back with a new appointment date.

I wish I could write a better review, but I have the same issue as other reviewers: I've been a patient for over a year and only my very first appt wasn't rescheduled at least once (though she was about an hour late to that appt too).I've been waiting since February to do Botox, some of that delay is due to COVID but mostly it's because appts keep getting rescheduled. Today my appt was rescheduled (after already having the time changed the day before) again with just 6 hours notice this time.I won't be continuing with this office, because I see no point. If Botox has to be redone every X amount of weeks to work, I can't imagine it ever being done on time here.. so therefore how could it work?Unfortunately, I recieved better, quicker, and more thorough care through my nurse practitioner than I did here. He is also thoroughly disappointed and confused as to why she is considered a specialist when she has done nothing but basic treatments for me (which he could have prescribed anyways).Overall, unfortunately a huge waste of over a year of my time (which feels like acentury for some one coping with daily migraines).I urge anyone in need of care to find another, less over burdened, office to send their referral to.

This is the first time that I have ever written a review about anything. This review is negative but it may not be reflective of the Doctor, rather the medical system failure or clerical failure. Dr. Christie saw me while I was admited in hospital and gave me explicit instructions to set up a follow-up appointment, which I did. Dr. Christie was extremely pleasant and helpful while I was in hospital. In fact I would rate her quite highly. The problem was more of a clerical nature.I had a seizure due to a blood clot caused by my cancer. I had run out of anti-seizure drugs and was trying to get a refill on the medications. When I called, the clerk quickly was able to sort that part out. When I asked if I could move up my appointment with the doctor, the clerk said that my appointment was cancelled, but I had never cancelled it. So who did? The appointment was cancelled because of the internal workings of the operation. What I mean is that another Doctor had seen me at an earlier hospital admission and there was a follow up appointment set up with him, but at a later date. My plan was to see Dr. Christie and then cancel with the other Doctor. Somehow the reverse had happened without anyone notifying me. Medical system failure? Clerical failure? When I asked the clerk if we could keep things as they were. She was cheeky and abrupt with her response and did not oblige.Unfortunately, I had to give Dr. Christie a rating of 1 because I only saw her once.

Really disappointed because I had a scheduled appointment for my second trimester of pregnancy to see if my migraines would get better (they haven’t they are everyday) and it has now been cancelled and moved back 3 months without a reason :/ Im just going to see my family doctor about my migraines because I am in pain and can’t wait 3 months longer then I’ve already waited while pregnant.Update: they booked me in 3 different times now and cancelled each appointment the day before - now she’s using the excuse of a broken wrist even though it’s just a video call for 2 minutes. I’ve called twice now for them to please take me off the list I don’t want to be booked back in and have to deal with them calling just to cancel last minute again but their voicemail is full always and they let their number ring and don’t pick up during the day.FYI almost 100% sure she gets paid to refer amivog the migraine medication injection/epipen as she gave me no choice but to try it first before anything else even though it was $300 and I couldn’t afford it.Final update: My family doctor who is not a specialist solved my migraine issues with a prescription of propranolol. How ridiculous that a specialist is this useless

Phone messages are never listened to or returned, Dr. Christie is often hours off schedule (she's never been within 30 minutes of being on time in the three years I've been seeing her), and it's impossible to get hold of the office. I've finally switched to a different doctor. I think the icing on the cake was one morning, two hours after my appointment time, when Dr. Christie wandered into the office talking about the wonderful pies she'd just bought.

Avoid this Neurologist! I was with Dr. Christie for over 13 years. My family and husband pushed for me to change but I always wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and constantly made excuses for her disrespectful, dismissive, and at times abusive behaviour. Describing my experiences would take too long but I will tell you that I finally found a new neurologist and now realize how patients should be treated!

I cannot even give this one star. I only have one star because I had to to post. I am beyond frustrated with this office. They are impossible to contact and they never get back to you. After my initial appointment, I was prescribed a medication to help with chronic headaches. I had a life threatening reaction to it and I notified the office. No response. After my second visit, I was given a headache record to complete to find out how many days per month I was having them and was given attitude by Dr. Christie that I didn't have a more concrete answer from her. I have been waiting for my 2 month follow up to that appointment. During this time, I have suffered from having a headache for 63 days (so far) which included 2 migraines one of which needed ER intervention to stop. I contacted them at day 47 of my headache for help and again, no response. I am supposed to have my appointment tomorrow. Just got a voicemail that they are rescheduling (which they did last time). I called back to confirm and there is no answer and the mailbox is full. The receptionist also spoke so quickly I almost couldn't write down the number. I have had it. THE WORST medical care I have ever received. My daughter has a genetic mutation that causes epilepsy so I have worked with several doctors including neurologists and this dr and her office are pitiful.

I honestly don't know how to rate Dr. Christie as I've never seen or spoken with her. I've had 3 appointments scheduled and not one of them was successful. My family doctor sent in a referral June 2019. The first appointment was scheduled for December 2020. That was cancelled and rescheduled for January 2021. That was cancelled and rescheduled for today, July 22nd at 10am. I've been waiting for 3.5 hours for a telephone appointment and still no phone call from Dr. Suzanne Christie.I'm not sure how to proceed or why they cannot seem to book and see patients.I've waited 25 months to see her for debilitating migraines and they can't seem to answer their phones or return messages.
