Jimmy Thompson Memorial Pool

I do the Water fit class 3 x a week...the only complaint I have is the Water fit instructor on Mondays has no energy for teaching this class....she walks through everything on the slow motion button...and skips things....I really don't know why she is teaching this class when she acts like she doesn't want to be there.....the instructor who is there on Wednesday and Friday is awesome....she makes you want to work it.... thanks for her on Wednesday and Thursday....she is totally awesome...

The pool is very well kept and clean, and staff are amazing. I swim there every weekday. One of the best parts, the pool is always at the right temperature. This is a well staffed pool with friendly swimmers.EDIT: This is my all time favourite pool in Hamilton. I wish I could swim in the early morning here around 6 or 630. I find it difficult to leave work mid day, swim and come back. I would gladly swim here every day if they changed their hours. I cannot day enough good things about this pool and staff.

I swam at this pool back in the days of the Hamilton Aquatic Club. It looked quite different in those days, and we would also enjoy the free swims when the old diving board used to be there. Despite this pool's age, it has been kept up very well, I still love swimming here today.

I have never been to this pool but would like to someday. the city of Hamilton made the right choice keeping this old pool and giving the choice between the old and the new if given the choice I would choose the old pool I personally don't like wave pools or lazy rivers I just like a good old fashioned pool that gives you the feeling of swimming in a enclosed room there are not much of these pools left and the city of North Battleford demolished my favourite pool that was built in 1966 I do not like my city's new pool given the choice I would pick the old oneI will give this one five stars

The pool was clean and warm, with no real deep end but a great pool for kid's not so much for swimming laps a really nice new pool .

Great historic pool in the heart of the city. 25 yards long and 7 lanes wide. A neat blast from the past.NB: because it is a heritage building there is no wheelchair access to the changerooms and deck area. Wheelchairs can only access the viewing area.There is a fully accessible pool and changerooms attached at the rec centre though.

This was the coolest place to swim ever. It hadn't been updated in a long while, but that was it's charm. It was well maintained so though it looked its age, it was very appealing. Very sad that they're renovating it as it was perfect in my eyes, I hope they keep the layout and character, but one can only hope. Best. Pool. Ever.

Excellent pool and everything is clean and tidy, the staff is outstanding. The parking lot is smaller, but there is a place to park in the surrounding streets.

Sin went here for a school swim meet. He loves coming here to swim, will update with a couple pics next time son goes for a swim meet
