Marchello Shoe Repair & Alteration + Dry Cleaning

I have taken many items to Marchello's over the last 5 years and have been generally happy with the service, work and cost, but that changed. I dropped off a backpack and a duffle bag to have zippers replaced in early Dec 2022. I paid $50 which I assumed was the full cost. It took 2 months for the bags to be repaired and when I picked them up only 1 zipper had been replaced and the other repaired". I asked for both of them to be replaced as they were old/poor quality. I was then charged another $32 and told the $50 I paid in Dec was a deposit.I realize costs are increasing but $82 to replace one small zipper on a backpack and fix the stitching on a small zipper on a duffle bag after waiting 2 months seems unreasonable. I want to support local businesses in Squamish

I have been having shoes, boots and Birkenstocks repaired here for years; I also had a leather handbag repaired, it is great workmanship and peaceful, friendly service. They sell a wide range of shoe polishes too, which really help my shoes last well.

Just picked up a pair of pants i dropped off to be repaired and very happy with the result exactly what i asked for and good quality work!

WORST PLACE EVER! Gave back my shoes worse then when dropped off & blamed me then charged me. Gouged and scuffed they r not repairable as they are white. Go elsewhere unless you want to throw your money AND SHOES in the garbage.

Marchello is the best for shoe repair in the Sea to Sky area. I have taken multiple pairs of leather boots to him and he always does an amazing job at a reasonable price. I don't bother taking my shoes anywhere else, it always ends up being bad quality n way to expensive. Whenever I need new soles, busted leather or repair of any kind on boots he always makes my boots look as good as new, with a nice buff n shine too!

Came by will a boot that had a big cut on the top but don't live in town so had been trying to get in there for a couple months. Guy offered to fix on the spot as I waited, one -booted, in his chair. Great guy wish he had more staff.

I got my shoes back with gouges in them and scuffed. They gave them back to me worse then when I dropped them off and blamed me. Didn't even try to fix their mistake on the second heel and tried to disguise the other one that they also gouged with their hammer or finger nails then charged me for poor, terrible work done. Save your money and frustration. Go somewhere else. And I did look at my white heels thoroughly with the owner before handing them in.

I have had men's dress shoes resoled, a zipper on a bag replaced, jeans patched, and the inside of a boot with a ripped liner repaired here over the course of a year and a half of living in Squamish. The workmanship is high quality, and I am very grateful to have a service like Marchello's in town. It helps extend the life of my clothing, keeping things out of the landfill and reducing my carbon footprint. Thank you!

Brought in a pair of boots to be resoled. Gave a deadline of 17days. On day 17 they were not done, but i had to take them unfinished, I needed them. 2 weeks later, I received a message stating my boots were done?? The staff also had to find them.Ive since taken them to the lower mainland. Unfortunately the shoemaker by the old Greyhound bus station is gone
