Huge place perfect for big families, well placed for a peaceful retreat. The views of the mountains and the sunrises or sets you can see from there have no comparison! No need to bring any entertainment for children it's all there from the pool to the game room, toys for.the younger ones and plenty of space to be outside and enjoy nature ! A huge plus if you like horses there is a beautiful horse barn just next door. A real find !

OVERPRICED AND NEGLECTEDI was invited by a dear friend to join her and her family for a two day retreat out of the city.As I came up the driveway, I noticed that my friend’s husband was shoveling the front steps which had not been cleared for safe passage into the home. Although relieved not to have to clear the path myself, I wondered why this was not done by the host. As I entered the home, my senses were assaulted by a weird, unpleasant odour. My experience only went downhill from there. When compared to the pictures, which must date back at least ten years, the current state of the house looks completely different; it has not been maintained and the over-use is very much apparent, especially in the kitchen, which looks run down and neglected. The living room looks nothing like the pictures; the furniture has been changed and what should be a Zen-like library/office space is littered with bulky kids’ toys making the space cluttered and uninviting.Once upstairs, another unpleasant surprise awaited me. As a frequent traveler, I instinctively check the bedsheets before settling into any room (be it a hotel, bed and breakfast or rental). To my disgust, numerous dark hairs littered the sheets – which did not appear to have been changed before our visit. Instead of settling in, my first order of business was to find another set of clean sheets. Once the sheets changed, I visited the laundry room to dump the dirty load and could not bring myself to set foot inside. Old fabric softener sheets and a towel littered the floor The unsanitary condition of the house did not end there; remnants of food were found in the dishwasher and the coffee pot needed to be washed before use to remove the coffee ring at the bottom. As for the Keurig machine, I did not touch it as it was disgusting! Keep in mind that the host charges a hefty cleaning fee to all guests. The most disappointing aspect of my visit was the false advertising of accessible outdoor amenities. There is no hot tub on site even though it was advertised in the listing! The host advised us only 24hrs before our arrival that there was no hot tub; way past any opportunity to cancel. Additionally, we specifically asked the host if the fire pit was available and were told that it was. Neither the BBQ (on back patio deck) nor the fire pit were accessible due to snow accumulation. In fact, both the deck and back staircase had so much snow that they constituted a safety hazard. As for the fire pit, well, you needed a plow to get to it.By far, the worst part of the entire experience was the host’s behavior, which once on site, was aggressive and unreceptive to any of our concerns about her property. Very surprising for someone in the service industry. She shrugged off any issues regarding cleanliness (in light of the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic) and pointed to a tiny shovel which we could use shovel the snow to access the fire pit. She literally told us that she “would not break her back to shovel” her property for the off-chance that guests would use some of the outdoor amenities. I guess she expects her guests to break theirs! The only positive is the basement. The indoor pool and game room are as pictured, but the projector displayed in the pictures has long been removed and replaced by a small tv. One note of caution, the tiles around the pool are very slippery even when just walking; my friend’s son had an unexpected slip while walking and ended up with a mild concussion. I also noticed black mold on one corner of the ceiling above the pool. I’m no expert but that should definitely be addressed. All in all, the property has a lot of potential but currently does not live up to that potential. The guest experience does not seem to be valued, albeit the fact that the nightly asking price is equivalent to a mortgage payment. The property is underwhelming and overpriced.
