Wonderful service , prompt and efficient, delicious meal of fish and fries. Server , Kristie , was very friendly , courteous and helpful.Nice large eating area with tables well spaced. Very enjoyable!!!Some very interesting and historic pictures adorn the walls.

Ches's Famous Fish and Chips
I had Ches’s fish and chips before. I know it’s good. But every time I eat here, I still feel amazed by its freshness. And I wish I can start eating all over again. The dressing and gravy is so delicious. The fries are just right. The fish is absolutely fresh and delicious. I’ll keep going back. Yummy. 5 stars.

Ches's Famous Fish and Chips
A perfectly fine place to start got seafood adventures as tourist, and a regular stalwart for the locals. I went here to eat eight years ago when I first visited St John's, and eight years later this location hasn't changed much. The menu has been updated, but the decor, friendly service, and fresh fish and chips brought me back to that first visit years ago. It's worth a visit to taste the tradition.

Brought my family here while on vacation and so happy I did. The service was incredible, the food was absolutely delicious, and we had the best time there. A lady brought my wife and mom out flowers for Mother's Day, say us next to a wood stove which my mom loved, and the chef said he wasn't happy with the size of the fish fillets, so he gave us three instead of two! The attention to detail, customer service, and fish itself was unparalleled. Thank you all for making a quick dinner trip so wonderful for us!

We had the family meal, large amount of food for a very good price compared to the rest of St. Johns. Fries and gravy were quite good. The onion rings, fish and chicken wings were all okay, not very flavourful, but good for the price.

Ches's Famous Fish and Chips
They have a very limited menu, the only side offered is fries. No salad or even cole slaw. I realize we had takeout but the food was on the table less 10 minutes after pick up but it was a soggy mess. Fish was very disappointing. I doubt we will go back.

Ches's Famous Fish and Chips
I've eaten at all locations in the metro area, but by far, the highland drive location is the best. Service, friendly staff, clean, consistently the food is what you expect. We drive from the other side of town, bypassing 2 other stores to eat at this location.
