i had a complicated and mixed experience here. in the end i basically got what was agreed to be fixed fixed for the agreed amount, but i had to fight for it and drive back for a second repair. i had them fix my cabin air system after i tried replacing one part first which i told them i had replaced as a potential fix when it was really another part that needed replacing. turns out this complicated things. they replaced the other part and phoned me back to say it was fixed when it wasn't. then i had to have them fix it again only to have them tell me that they were gonna charge me a second time because it was the part i replaced that was incompatible. but i told them i replaced that so it should have clued in to them. in the end they didn't charge me twice but it was frustrating having to fight for it and being told my car was fixed when it wasn't and having to come back and argue to pay only the original agreed price. They did phone me after my review to try to appeal and I appreciate that but my experience was still mixed and am still frustrated with the amount of communication I had to make after I already told them about the attempted replacements I made. Basically we probably both should have communicated to each other better about what had already been done to the car before they began work. In the end I got it fixed but wasted time due to poor communication and lack of them testing properly after first repair but they did Basically resolve so 4 stars.

This is the only place, and the only people, that I really trust with my car. They’re very thorough and communicative. They don’t try to push any unnecessary services on you, and they provide detailed quotes for their services. Super trustworthy, amazing customer service, and fast work.

The suspension on my 2009 BMW had rusted severely and two coil springs had collapsed. Peter put the car on the hoist so I could see the issues which made it easier to decide how much I wanted replaced. The repairs were extensive but done in the time discussed and they did not replace pieces that were OK once they got into the work.

I've been going to German Auto since I bought my car a few years ago. Jeff and his team are total superstars. Their client service is unparalleled, they have great attention to detail, the appointments are efficient and run on time, and most importantly I completely trust them to help me make good decisions when it comes to my vehicle. I would strongly recommend!

It's a rare thing to meet one mechanic you trust. It's an even rarer thing to find an auto shop full of mechanics you trust. The guys at German AutoRite are fully transparent, objective, informative and fair. They do solid work but the thing is they only do the work that is needed. I won't take my cars anywhere else.

Me and my family have been taking our cars to German Automotive and Knibbe for over 10 years at this point. I beleive their prices to be fair, and they are honestly very good to their customers. Any time something has had to be fixed or replaced they have personally shown me the parts they took out after. They are also very good with customers who are not car savvy and will take their time to explain things to you. They also stand behind their service - we had a major part in our car replaced but were uncertain afterwards if it had been done correctly (turned out it had been!). When I called to ask, they got us in right away, checked the job and part (no charge), and made sure they had done the job right. They also called back a few weeks later to make sure we were doing ok. No fight, no argument - just a good company wanting to stand behind its work. I really can't recommend them enough. I have been using AutoRite since my BMW warranty expired and they have been excellent. Prices are considerably less than the dealership, service is thorough, and they're very patient about explaining what work needs doing and why. Highly recommended!

Took BMW X3 2017 in for oil change and inspection. The BMW dealership told me both set of brakes needed to be replaced along with a variety of issues. BMWs quote was over $3k. I took it to another repair shop who was less expensive but not as thorough as German AutoRite. German AutoRite did a full inspection and was very transparent on the timing of brakes being replaced in a few months with cost considerably lower. All staff friendly and professional. I felt relieved to have found a BMW repair shop that offers great service and value. I will not be going elsewhere and have referred to my friend.

Through this extensive service, Jeff and staff were very professional and promptly responded to updates. I was informed initially that there would be delays due to shipping of parts, and Jeff always communicated throughout this process. The actual cost ended up over the estimate due to the extra work done, but Jeff invoiced only what was quoted for the project. I would highly recommend AutoRite for anyone needing work on their German autos. Picture is how far the process went on my car!
