We were disappointed with HECO after being billed a substantial labour charge for a second visit to rectify the first repair that had failed.Our 3/4hp boiler circ pump failed in Feb this year. A HECO tech came down, sourced and installed a new one. His work order noted the new motor had slightly elevated noise. The bill was $1,381.43.29 days later, the pump quit. This time, two HECO techs came down and swapped out the pump motor. We presumed the cost of the call would be borne by HECO, however, they remained firm that the labour cost was ours to bear. With two techs, the bill for labour was $1,067.85.Ultimately, we paid $2,449.28 to replace a failed single-phase 3/4hp circulation pump, in two visits. Ouch.
