DONI Korean Restaurant
This restaurant is known for their dumplings so we ordered Mandoo Combo B ($32.95). This combo offered the opportunity to try a variety of dumplings. The dumplings were amazing! You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the homemade feel. Each type of dumpling were tasty in their own way. The steamed dumplings were seasoned nicely. I can taste the difference between the pork and kimchi dumplings. The kimchi dumplings were slightly spicy, but was still very enjoyable. The deep fried dumplings were crispy. The soup dumplings and noodles were a bit softer than I would have liked by the time I got around to eating that dish. However, the flavours were very good and I would order that on its own.Service was good. Food arrived in reasonable time. Our server checked up on us a couple times. The menu is available by QR code on the table. Staff checked vaccination passports and wore face masks. My only complaint is the menu is smaller than pre-COVID times. However, this is a great option for some quality dumplings.

Very special Korean restaurant, feels more like home cooked food. Very tasty dumplings both steamed, fried. Spinach noodles were awesome too. Small and quaint restaurant, perfect for a quiet yet tasty dinner.

They were kind but food was not good enough. I've been to this place before, and everything was better- it was a long time ago tho. It is sad when you see the place is going down hills. Deep-fried dumplings were not fresh, it was a little stinky. For their jjamppong, they need to upgrade their flavor or discontinue the food. Feel bad to leave a bad review but I thought they need to reduce their menu items and focus the taste of the food.

Excellent and helpful service. A small menu, but still a good selection. We ordered the Mandu Combo for 2 which came with 8 steamed and 8 fried dumplings, plus a dumpling and noodle soup. I can't remember, but there were at least 3 banchan dishes. All very good with excellent portion sizes. The mandu were plump and juicy and the noodle soup was pure comfort on a drizzly day. The combo was certainly too much for us two..it could feed 3-4 people! Not bad for about $40!We tried going back, but they are closed until May 15th. I'll definitely come check out the expanded menu then!

Probably the best mandu jjamppong bap I ever had. The usual ones I had elsewhere are always made with frozen mixed seafood pieces. The mandu jjamppong bap I ordered took a little longer compared to the other dishes, I realized why later on when I found mussels, clams, crabs legs in shell within the soup. The flavor was really good as well. Fried mandu was crispy, the sauce was spicy. Loved their banchan as well.

Price point and taste wise, this is a very good Korean restaurant. Interior design leaves little to desire but quality of food should make up for it. We loved the taste of the fried dumplings especially. Also the noodle soup was excellent. Soup was rich while the soaked dumplings were awesome. Stone pot mixed rice tasted great too. It could be little spicy for some people but sauce was too good. Squid can be little chewy but they were generous with portion size of squid. Parking’s plenty in the plaza though it can be busy at times. Overall, we will definitely return for more.

The beef dishes were nicely seasoned but way too dry. Mandoo (dumplings) were tasty. The food came relatively quick but the service was non-existent, the server only brought us our dishes- no tea refill or checking up on us. I would return just to bring some frozen dumplings home to cook.

A lovely little corner of the world. It's been a while since I've visited Surrey, and at a friend's recommendation, I came to this little gem of a dumpling and noodle shop. This is one of those unfussy spots where the owners take great care to provide. Prices are very reasonable, the decor homely and well used, and the food -- it embraces you from the inside. It's nothing over the top, but the dumplings, noodles and soup (Combo A provides you with a front and centre taste of what this place provides) are hand made, of carefully considered ingredients, and delicious. Grandma made this for you, and happily. Eat up!Crispy deep fried dumplings with a lacy crust are filled with pork, vegetables and tofu. Light, guilt free, these were my first and last bite of the meal. The soup was light and some of the best I've had, and the soup dumplings were plump and well filled.Noodles were a little softer than I would have liked, though -- but this dish might call for softer noodles, so I'm not a good judge! They are made of a similar body and texture as the dumpling wrappers, which totally makes sense, but seasoned with spinach.Seriously considering bringing back some frozen dumps home, but I'll revisit that idea after a walk.

Nice staff, clean restaurant. However, very slow service. Bimbimbap is not good, much better in Korean Airline. We are from Seattle, decided to have lunch with DONI before going back home. Spent two hours waiting for the seats and food. Our orders did not come at the same time for 7 people & 2 kids. Almost everyone done eating and one order was still unavailable. VERY FRUSTRATING. I am really frustrated. NOT HAPPY.
