Furry Tales Cat Rescue
Absolutely disheartening experience with Donna. She lacks integrity and should not be in the business of cat rescue especially as she is callous with adoptees and bullies her employees. She habitually threatens adoptees and other cat rescue organizations with lawsuits as part of her bullying tactics. My advice: STAY FAR AWAY and work with another organization like the OSPCA, Humane Society, Ninth Life, and/or Paws for Cause (to name a few).

Furry Tales cares so deeply for every cat in their care and for cat welfare generally. They make such an incredible effort to match cats with families that are the perfect fit, and I have so much respect for how thorough their adoption process is!

Furry Tales is a wonderful volunteer run organisation. I adopted my 2 cats through them years ago and am thrilled to be giving back as a volunteer with FTCR recently! Everyone involved is generous & caring and they truly make such a difference in the animals' lives.

They seem really caring until you give them feedback, then they might get your hopes up and cancel your adoption.-- My mother, a retired nurse and caregiver to many adopted cats over my whole life was in the final stages of adopting this kitty when they canceled the adoption. She loved him, she aced the interviews, paid the adoption fee, signed papers and even readied the whole house dispite a chronic disability. She was so incredibily excited to give this cat a forever home, nobody would love him more. But after she signed the forms and gave the adoption fee in she did not hear back from Furry Tails Rescuse for 3 days, after them being very prompt to answer during the beginning stages of the adoption. So naturally she was concearned, she cared about this cat and was eager for his arrival just as any cat mom would be. Now she fully understands emergencies happen, and they are very busy helping cats in need, but the adoption date was approching and we were left with no information and no response. She made a small comment to the foster mom of the kitty saying that they have been great, but she only wishes they were a bit better at communicating what is happening. She has emailed them with no response. She loves him and is just really excited to have him, she paid the adoption fee for him and she hopes she will still get the kitty and haha they dont just take the money haha (a joke or minor small comment said in private chat, nothing w malitious intent, never at all to cause trouble- she was concearned and wanted the cat and we were unfamilair w furrytails- we thought they were profeshional, wrongfully so after this). The foster mom told the owner of the rescuse we were accusing them of stealing our money and of some sort of fraud, with no context or lick of understanding what so ever. We then get a call in the morning (from Donna) - waking my mother who has been anxiously waiting for this cat out of a deep sleep, to insult her integrety, blame her from being inpatient and too demanding. That they thought she was a not so nice person after all and they should cancel the adoption. Going so far as to accuse her of not even sending any follow up emails and saying she never got any and to provide proof she did (in reality the owner just missed her emails). Rather then a I am sorry for the delay

I adopted through PetSmart but the kitten came from Furry Tales cat rescue. I can not recommend them enough if you're looking for a cat/kitten. You may look at their adoption fees and think that it is a little steep for a pet, but the cost of a spay/neuter and all the shots the cats come with is actually more than the adoption fee. But not only this, with Furry tales you know what you're getting. Their cats are healthy, and if any have known special needs, they are up front about all of that prior to adoption. I adopted my Lucy from there, and I couldn't picture my home without her. If I want to adopt more cats in the future I won't hesitate to go through Furry Tales again.

Tried to adopt a Kitten and was sent a rather rude response saying our 2 older cats 7 and 10 wouldn't be playful enough for a kitten. Both cats are indoor and very active. It was recommended we get an older cat. We believe that introducing an older cat would cause friction. Having had kittens and adult cats for decades we were disappointed with this response. The application was under my wife's name. Catherine.

As a volunteer and foster, I have been constantly impressed with my experiences with Furry Tales. The cats health and well being is the priority of every part of their journey with the organization. The cats are very well cared for, loved and every need is met.Every adopter and volunteer is highly screened - volunteers are provided with a wealth of training and constant access to advice. Adoptions are matched well with appropriate cats and who meet high standards.I consider myself fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful rescue.

Super disheartened about dealing with this rescue. My wife has been an advid supporter of Furry tales and rescues in general, sharing their posts on social media and encouraging friends and family to seek adoption over breeders. Today we had the displeasure of dealing with Juliana. After asking questions about previous pets that were invasive and asking us to produce vet bills and quotes to verify our answers, told my wife that our cat we had to put down should still be alive and that we were not a good fit to adopt through Furry Tales. We have both been pet owners our whole lives and have loved each of our pets as much as a child. My wife has walked away from this experience heartbroken and sadden as a strangers misguided and unnecessary judgments about a heartbreaking/hard family decision have now stopped us from adopting and loving two new kittens to a forever home.Edit: You sit on your high horse judging others for something you have no information about nor the capacity to want to understand. Our cat was sick and needed medical attention that was beyond our means at the time to take care of. I hope you have a spotless pet ownership record and never have to be judged for having to make a hard decision. I hope my review and your response can show other potential adopters just how unwilling Furry Tales is to acctually work with people and instead outright dismiss you if you dont fit thier interpretation of the ideal pet owner.

I almost never write reviews but Furry Tales deserves and exception.Their adoption process is friendly but still professional and thorough, and proved that this rescue truly cares about the homes their cats and kittens are adopted into by matching the cats temperament with the lifestyle of their adopters. From application to adoption day was quick, and done responsibly, allowing our new kitten, Willow (formerly known as Sushi) time to heal and rest properly between her spay date and adoption date.It is clear that these cats and kittens are well cared for by Furry Tales and the Foster families that help them with the wonderful work they do for the animals.I can’t recommend Furry Tales enough for any loving home with room for a furry friend or two (or more…).

If you are looking for a rescue that puts the needs of the cats beyond all else, please look no further. We adopted our cat, Charlie, from Furry Tales shortly after one of our other rescues crossed the rainbow bridge. The adoption process was seamless, and Donna was quick to match us with a cat she knew was well suited to our family. We were so thrilled with the experience, that we decided to become fosters. (And we have joyfully added another amazing kitty to our family since then.)Furry Tales really stands behind the philosophy of rescue. They make the health and welfare of the cats they save the number one priority. They are 100% volunteer run, invest the time and money required to save and rehabilitate as many cats as possible, and match the cats to adopters who recognize the commitment pet ownership entails. When adopting from Furry Tales, you can rest assured that your cat comes to you already knowing love and commitment, and they look for homes that will do the same.
