I missed a zoom meeting because i was in hospital. Wrote my counselor a text as to the situation. She closed my file and sent an email. Didn't respond to my text or call me to let me know my file was closed, but i guess an email was the best way to not get the message to me , seeing as we never communicated by email once

If I could give them 10 stars I would. My journey here began as a client receiving counselling services. I proceeded tobecome a volunteer and continue to this day to do so. And recently I am proud and excited to say I am an employee at Sara Riel! Absolutely everyone here is kind, compassionate, supportive and professional.Feel that I have found my forever homeand am grateful for where this path has taken me.

Extremely helpful counselling. They have helped me to develop the skills and find the resources I need to finally be able to depend on myself, and to realize that I am worth my own time and effort. They used an open and honest approach in helping me to develop sustainable positive change in my life. They met me where I was at mentally and really helped me to gather the tools that I needed to help myself for the long term.

Gave my partner significant purpose when she felt lost in her life. Made me so happy to see her challenged in a healthy way, a significant change in her life that has built her since her inclusion there. Every time she returns she talks about how she could be enabled to do better for herself and sometimes help the organisation

Very bad experience with them. My emergency contact was contacted TWICE just because my counsellor couldn’t reach me by phone. I am bilingual and prefer to communicate in English but my counsellor communicated with me in French until I let them know of my preference. After that, the language barrier made it very hard to understand each other. They suggested meeting at my work but I am very triggered by strangers showing up at my workplace. I was very uncomfortable and was denied a different counsellor.

As a Client Sara Riel has welcomed me with open arms. Not only they have given me guidance but helped me find a job which I love, I recommend this company to any one that asks me about my time with Sara Riel.

So far my experience with my counselor and Sara Riel has been a positive one. I've been given some tools to help me reach my goals and get me through my journey. The process takes time and you must be willing to put in some effort in order to see your results. I am very thankful for the help and the support that I receive from Sara Riel.

Sara Riel has helped me begin my journey to.mental wellness. Not going to lie, it takes time and effort on your part along with the willingness and courage to begin. The counsellors are amazing, working with you and giving you amazing tools you use on your journey. My.counsellor checks in on me often, we have individual meetings and phone sessions as well as workshops you. Can opt into that all aid you. They cheer my.progress along side me and. Keep encouraging me.I HIGHLY recommend Sara Riel. Don't expect instant results, I would say I'm in the middle of my journey and it has taken about a year and a half so far.Looking forward to continuing my journey and putting in the effort to achieve all my goal.Thank you Sara Riel!!

Terrible management, takes them forever to get back to you if you try to bring things up with them. They'll lie to you and just don't seem to care about you at all. High turnover rates for the counselors there, but most of the counselors aren't any better than the management. I was with one particular counselor for around a year with weekly meetings, and he didn't show up for ¼ of the sessions, and then he would either try to tell me we didn't actually have a session, or he would try to blame the other counselors saying it was their fault for not informing me that he wouldn't be there. I was made to drive him around so he could run into specialty food stores, or pick up cereal at walmart, or take him to A&W. The best help I got was when one counselor recommended I actually go through a different program @ HSC.

Just as I would get connected to aa counselor, they would leave and I'd have to see someone else. The 3rd counselor I was assigned to made 4 separate appointments with me that she never showed up for. Never called, never emailed. Just didn't show up. I wrote an email about it and sent it to their office and nobody got back to me. Horrible experience. No accountability and don't care.
