Waverley Park
Play spaces are great, but for unaccompanied adults, its enjoyable to have a park that caters to them. So, no playground here, just a gazebo, a fountain, a cenataph, and some of the oldest poplars in town. Recent years have seen the city's parks department to consider the coverage of this peaceful green space; however it is likely that the major trees will need to be felled long before the newer trees are large enough to retain the canopy. Most of the park is quiet and provides some distance from the bustle of traffic. Enjoy!

4 stars 'cos park. But it could be 5 stars. Plant more native species and let some areas have wildflowers and it's an easy 5.

I couldn't sing the praises of this park more. The flora is lovely, well-maintained. There's always somehwrre to sit and it's always clean. It also has good pokemon go stops and gyms. An ideal place to spend a summer afternoon.

I visited today July 1st, 2021 to March with IRSS, friends, family & community members. Prior to the March I was involved in a Guinness World Record Drumming Event for July 1st. There were over 100 drummers of various types from many different countries. I wanted to attend both events. I thought the perfect place for both would be Waverly Park with the big trees, open space & scenery. The GWR event ran late with VIP speeches & technical issues. Luckily the 1st event finished just in time for me to attend next.

I love this park. HUGE old trees. Old fountain gifted to Canada frm France I believe frm late 1800's early 1900's. Little stage for bands and little community events. I spent a lot of summer days and evening in this park, when I was young. Always has been a favorite. Perfect for picnics.
