With regards to palliative care, the staff are wonderful, kind and loving here at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home; however, the building would greatly benefit in having a palliative care unit. The resident is left in their current room and this is very stressful for them and family members as all you hear is the daily hustle and bustle of all other residents and staff. Not peaceful at this difficult time. If not a unit, how about getting the inflatable mattress's for more comfort and some comfortable chairs that the family members can sit in while staying in their loved ones room. I hope management will look into this in the near future.
