Great atmosphere and coffee, horribly inconsistent baristas.Second time visiting and our latte were spilled all over the plate, cleaned up with a dirty rag to wipe the counter, and when asked to have them remade the barista said it's just coffee on the rag...On-top of that an under extracted shot and horrible frothed milk.Hopefully baristas can get some better training on the machine and customer service.

This is a fantastic addition to the area!! The coffee and service are spectacular and I would strongly recommend their breakfast sandwich! I also hosted a couple events, called ahead and picked up their cookies (their gingersnap cookies are mind-blowingly delicious) and other snacks - and they were a huge hit! I just wish they had a loyalty punch card.

Wow. Not much more to say than wow. Great tasting coffee roasted by Greg, our local roasting expert. Great tea selection, wonderful baked yummies and staff that are friendly and just wonderful down to earth friendly people.To the folks at ERC - thank you for being a wonderful part of our community.To anyone thinking about visiting… you won’t regret it! Absolutely delightful little coffee shop in Esquimalt town square. They have such a great menu with a wide variety of drink options. Their baked good are also delicious.Being in the same building as the library was so cool. I arrived early to meet a friend so I rented a short story to read while waiting for a friend.I will definitely be back here soon and recommend it to EVERYONE.

Amazing coffee and friendly staff. A great place to bring the family. Delicious baked goods and beautiful wooden booths with a huge outdoor patio. The hub of the community! This place keeps me alive as a mom of two young kids.

Delicious mocha and pastries. Mocha was rich with a perfect balance of bittersweet. Chocolate croissant was perfectly buttery, flaky and soft. Definitely bang out of your buck!

Friendly, efficient staff. Good coffee (tried house blend) and selection of snacks. But the real draw is the space, with one whole wall open to the new square in front of the library.

Excellent local coffee shop with lovely pastries and atmosphere. Come for the coffee and sit at a table while enjoying being at the hub of downtown Esquimalt. So many locals come to this place and it's a wonderful spot. The coffee is fantastic!

A 4.9 average from hundreds of reviews is hard to achieve.And it drew a more critical eye. Is it deserved?Looking more closely than usual, there were a couple of nits: cashier mixed up the drink order (no Americano please) but this was quickly resolved, milk foam did have some large-ish bubbles (see picture) and the chocolate croissant / pain au chocolate was only average.That said, the large latte was delicious. Remarkably so. Espresso was thus beautifully dialed in given the amount of milk.The space / location is fantastic. Love the branded table legs and the feature big-leaf maple live edge group table. Little touches like power outlets at the booth tables are appreciated.I entered from the laneway side, and it almost seemed closed. And even possibly low budget with the hours crayons onto the window.Entering, though, exposed a beautiful space. The other side is majestic, opening onto a lovely courtyard with a HUGE accordion doorway.Talk about inviting. You just want to find an excuse to put off the days business and hang out here all day long.

Great coffee and treats - superb location and super friendly staff - especially the barista with tattoo that says “death before decaf” We ll be back!
