YS General Contracting

This is a follow-up to my previous review and in response to YG Construction response.The project was completed after Thanksgiving in mid-October. They promised completion of work in five weeks but instead took over four months, as they were doing multiple jobs at the same time and even taking a complete week off for vacation. The company is being untruthful in saying that I was not a customer of theirs. If I were not a customer, then why wouldthey respond to my previous review?They are just trying to cover their incompetence.

We had a really great experience with Ted and his crew during our recent fence installation and deck refreshening. The job was done sooner than expected and under budget and the quality of the workmanship far exceeded our expectations. Ted was very helpful with creative solutions for our fence and we are thrilled with the final result. We have had continuous compliments from neighbours and people passing by. We used YS General Contracting from a recommendation from a neighbour and are thrilled with the added value Ted's work has created for our property. A great contractor offering great value.

Frustrating experience.One of their contractors, Dan, visited our house to assess and provide thoughts on the project we had in mind. Dan was nice and courteous, right on time for the appointment. Once he finished his notes, he let us know we could expect a quote within a week. Low and behold, here we are nearly 2mo later and this company has completely ghosted us.The admin team (Jason) would not return our follow up voicemail or email. Extremely unprofessional.I must say though that maybe it's a good thing. It would've been unfortunate if we trusted them with our house, only for them to then ghost us if we had any issues.I see many have had good experiences, hopefully they treat all clients and potential customers with decency in the future.

Like others, it seems ghosting" is this company's specialty.I contacted Jason at YS on Dec 22 and arranged a site visit for Jan 3. No one showed up

Contacted YS to install a new Gazebo. Ted replied by email that they do this type of work and asked for a picture of what the gazebo looks like. I sent it to Ted and Ted never followed up. I sent a follow up email a few days later and still no follow up. I decided to call YS and left a message again a few days later however still no response. Weird, how hard would it be to send a quick email back saying no thank you.

These guys really came through for us and provided one of the best experiences with a contractor I have ever had. We had originally agreed with Ted and Dan to have our fence built without a definite date, we were in no rush. Things changed quickly for us and we needed a fence built in time to list our home. I called them with my problem, they showed upthat night and made a commitment to help us out. Our job was not large in scale and most likely would have been pushed aside by most contractors. Ted and Dan had a crew at our home 5 days later and had our fence up. The quality of work was one thing, the character of their crew was even more impressive. I truly recommend this company to anyone.

Excellent job on my bathrooms. Everything was completed professionally with high attention to details. Always willing to answer my questions or make recommendations. Would definitely use YS General Contracting for any home improvement.

Fantastic work done by Ted & his crew. Full demo and rebuild of a disaster wrap around porch including framing, lighting, masonry, roofing and eaves, as well as a few window replacements and various required repairs around the house. Very happy with the high quality of work done, and we would not hesitate to recommend Y & S to anyone. We will be using them for all or our renovations moving forward.

We contacted YS General Contracting, after receiving a recommendation from a neighbour. From the initial consultation and throughout the project, Ted and his crew did a fantastic job. The whole team was professional, easy to deal with and took pride in their work. We are so happy with the quality of work done and have received many compliments on our new fence. They also extended an existing deck, installed stairs and a new railing. It all looks fantastic! I am happy to recommend YS General Contracting to others and will be a repeat customer.

We are so grateful for the hard work of the YS contracting team. They did the job in a timely manner and were so kind to us. The crew that came to do the work were so lovely and even made sure our dog was cared for when we weren't there. We felt really cared for when they followed up on our satisfaction with the job and even came out a week later to inspect and make sure everything was okay. As a business owner, I know how challenging it can be to make sure the customer is always happy and they really went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for. Would highly recommend!
