Grooms by Em

Em & Hector are absolutely amazing. They take so much pride in their work and it definitely shows afterwards. Today Hector did my little Josie’s dental, TOTALLY MINDBLOWING!! She is a small girl and the vets wanted thousands of dollars to take all her teeth out, surgery was NOT and option for her. Hector was kind, gentle and calming to her, she is so much happier and her teeth look amazing! I can’t believe the difference in my little girl and Hector, I can’t tell you how wonderful this has made Josie feel. Your our hero ♥️ Thank you isn’t strong enough .

Emily and Hector (and Deb!) are wonderful with my dogs. I have three big ones: a an elderly lab-collie cross, a young golden retriever, and a young border collie-aussie shepherd. They have wooed all 3 - they come home happy and smelling so good! I especially love their tidy paws! They also fit my mother's chihuahua in last minute - and were so caring with her. They clearly love dogs and are skilled at what they do too!

I bring my dog Baxter to Grooms by Em to be groomed. Em's grooming is over the top.. Best in Show at all times.Baxter unfortunately has been having some health issues which has impacted his ability to have any operations which require anesthetic such as teeth cleaning and pulling etc. Hector of Grooms by Em approached me about having Baxter's teeth cleaned by laser, which he is fully certified to do. I agreed to give it a try and I can say I am amazed at how white and beautiful Baxter's teeth are.I highly recommend this procedure for anyone experiencing the same issues that Baxter has and for anyone who just wants to have a beautiful cleaning without the use of an anesthetic.Mary (Baxter's mom)

UPDATE:2023-01-25In addition to our review below, we brought our Border Collie -- Cash, so that Hector could perform his magic and clean his teeth. Hector employs an ultrasonic treatment with no anesthetic or any other kind of sedative. I was truly impressed when I picked up Cash. He was lively and excited as always. When I saw his teeth they were white and sparkly again. All this at a fraction of the cost that my Vet would have charged and no anesthetic which stresses my dogs out. Thanks again to Hector and Emily for looking after our boys as well as they do.2022-10-22We have two Border Collies whom we've been taking to Grooms by Em for a few years now. My dogs always come back looking great with all the details being looked after. Excellent service and competitive pricing. I have not taken my dogs anywhere else since we started with them. You'll love the interaction and enjoy the very friendly customer experience.

My Chihuahua Rupert and I love our monthly visit to Grooms by Em! The staff are very friendly and easy to chat with, and they provide a wide variety of services including teeth cleaning.When we moved to the Cowichan valley from Victoria we were hoping it wouldn't be hard to find a groomer we felt comfortable going to, and it wasn't. Grooms by Em has it all, and we love them!

I can't say enough about this place. Emily and Hector truly love what they do and treat all fur babies like their own. My baby smells and looks so good after his appointment! The haircuts always grow in nice and even. And they even put a cute, little bandana on him too! I highly recommend this groomer.

We have been going to Grooms by Em with our 2 Havanese for many years! The care & attention & professionalism given by Emily & Hector is excellent. Our girls look beautiful, nails done perfectly & now that they do teeth cleaning it is an all inclusive business. They love all their dogs & it shows!

My dog has had his teeth cleaned, and a grooming by Hector, and we have been nothing but impressed by his care and attention to detail. You can tell Hector truly loves animals, and is highly skilled at what he does. Would recommend anyone with a dog who needs a great groomer to book with these lovely humans!
