Bert's Power Mower Service

Snowblower had a broken belt which was repaired but the blower will not start. Keep calling and no one picks up. Service is horrid.

“I would be in business for 34 years if I didn’t know what I was doing”.said the owner.I showed the guy the part number I needed, he didn’t even look at it and proceeded to “guess” which part I required.Shouldn’t have trusted him, when I went to install the part and it was the wrong one.So much for knowing hat he’s doing, arrogant.

I honestly don't want to give this place a bad review because I didn't spend too much time there but I bought a lawn mower online and they had it shipped to this location. It wouldn't fit in my trunk so we decided to put it in the backseat. I tried to help him but he said he had it and told me let go then he dropped the entire thing on the ground. The machine is fine, I just didn't appreciate it, didn't even say sorry. He also asked me why I didn't just buy it there, that it's only $20 more then what I paid... Don't know how he knows how much I paid for it. Overall he seemed like a lovely man just really didn't have a great experience.

Terrible. Ripped off my Dad saying all kinds of problems with his snow blower. Next day it was for sale in his shop. Owner of the shop is a complete a hole as well.

Dropped of a 2 month stihl blower to be fixed. Should have been covered under warranty but he still took $50. For the repair. What's worse though, the repair took almost three weeks! And not because he had to send it out. Simply because he didn't get to it. When they finally told me it was ready and we went to pick it up 2 days later, it STILL wasn't ready and we had to come back an hour later. They don't have respect for their customer's time or money. I will drive the extra distance to shop elsewhere. I think it's time for these guys to retire

Any review over 2 stars is the family making fake reviews.Their reputation in the area is terrible and they have zero involvement in our community.Tried to sell me a used, painted snowblower as new.

Never again will i step into this place dropped off our weed wacker in November we had a small leak in the gas tank owner said he would fix it long story short they never called i had to keep going in it is now march 5 months later and they still didnt fix it they kept saying snow blowers took priority even though they made us put $80 down when i left the machine. I asked about getting my money back since they did nothing to ky weed wacker and they said no i asked for my machine back and they made a fuss saying oh its garbage now worst service EVER! DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Big rip off and scam artists

Terrible experience. Would love to give ZERO stars but I can’t. You see over and over same terrible service and same customer complaints. I stopped by to ask about trading in a mower for money off one of their mowers. I have one with OUT a bag and need one WITH a bag. I purchased my mower (used) last year for $200 from another small repair shop. I was told initially they don’t take trades but then after I questioned it the old man agreed to take a look at it. I brought it in and instantly it’s a “basic” mower and only worth $50 to him in credit. Now the cheapest mower I saw there was for $175 (no bag and there are several). I asked about the few baggers he had and he took me to a mower and fired it up. It smoked like crazy at the start, all the wheels were bent inwards so it was unbalanced and the handle was held together at each curve with duct tape….. he said once they fix the wheels it’s a $225 mower. I laughed and just walked away. To his reply of “whatever”.Not to mention when I arrived the second time with my mower he was legit screaming at a customer to get out because the customer had asked for some assistance. He then followed that up by mocking the customer saying “look at this guy. And he said he’d never come to my shop. Here he is spending money”. These guys are scammers, rude, inconsiderate of their customers. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY.I went to Canadian tire and bought a brand new bagger “basic lawn mower” for $299. AND they put it together for me. AND comes with a warranty.WELL worth the $75 extra bucks!

I've only ever bought parts here, as I do all my own servicing, but I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. Bert's has always had what I needed, and has always given good, friendly advice. Prices are usually a bit higher, but I prefer paying a little more to support small business.

I have been dealing with this place for years. I bought a new chainsaw MS 291. No one else had one but Bert's did. Thank you Bert's. Friendly and very helpful Service. I highly recommend this shop to anyone. Great prices and excellent service!
