Hotel and location was great. The poolside is beautiful but unfortunately the bartending staff was incredibly rude. Long story short the pool bartender made a scene and demanded an additional tip be added after my husband had walked away. He claimed “he works for free and depends on tips” which of course is not the truth. Disappointing and put a sour taste in what would have been an exceptional experience.

This is the brutally honest comment you were searching for. I booked a room over the weekend for 3 people (king size bed and sofa couch). While checking the room, we realize the sofa couch was very old and the sheets were not changed; also, it was a very uncomfortable bed. We called front desk for a room change, but we were told the hotel was fully booked, and in return, they offered extra sheets. We decided to sleep on the bed. The hotel has nice aesthetics when you first walk in. The pool area is a nice place to hang out as well, but I don’t recommend swimming in the water. The pool is busy 24/7, the bottom of the pool has dirt and even ducks swim there. Nonetheless, it is a good area to sun bathe and enjoy the weather with some drinks with the company of the ducks; not the worst but not the best either. FYI no pets allowed, and be prepared to pay 49 dollars a night for parking.

We stayed at that this hotel in Fall 2022 and had a wonderful experience. We came back in Spring 2023 and were quite dissapointed. For starters, the elevator that we required for accessibility to our room was out of service and were told to use the ramps. The ramps barely fit our luggage and mobility equipment. I’m not sure why we were not told about no elevator at the time of booking.I also specifically called ahead of time to ensure our room had a bath tub (not just a shower) and when we got to our room, there was only a shower. Thankfully they moved us quickly to an « older » room as the one with the shower was the renovated room. If all the rooms are becoming showers, that does not meet our needs in future. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the concierge at the end of our visit was EXCELLENT, an older man who took all our luggage across the street to the train station, to our train gate- that was fantastic, above and beyond. Also, the pool is quite nice as well.

Location was great, there were a lot of places walking distance from the hotel. The room we had, had a view of the pool which was really nice. It was very comfortable. The room was also spacious and didn’t feel claustrophobic. Service was also great. There was on site parking and it was easy to go in and out.

I would say strangely even though the location, service and rooms were not 5 stars, I would still give this place overall 5 stars! The lobby, pool and courtyard are so inviting and just makes for a really unique and pleasant stay in Montreal. The gardens are amazing and so tranquil. It also made almost for a resort feel, because the shared spaces are so inviting and comfortable, it felt like everyone was out enjoying them. So, there was a nice vibe around the hotel- lots of groups, couples and families. The service and rooms are fine. The staff were helpful and nice, some more than others. Valets were great! The rooms are clean and comfortable. We also felt that there wasn't a lot of noise through the walls. I can't speak to the food, since I didn't eat there. The location is close to the metro and in downtown, but a little on the quiet, desolate side at night. Overall, I think that the price was definitely worth it.

We booked a room with a pulled out bed - which we got. However, the toilet got stuck and totally not able to flush. Housekeeping came twice but couldn’t fix it. Then the bathtub wouldn’t flush either, it was a nightmare having kids came back from the pool and had to wait for the bathroom to be fixed. Housekeeping said he couldn’t fix it and walked away without contacting anyone to remedy the situation.I went to front desk (long queue at front desk all the time) to ask for another room, which they gave us quite quickly. However, that room does not have pullout bed - but the system is not updated - so front desk does not know. We get to use the bathroom while they were investigating options for us. They finally decided to bring us an extra bed in the room. The fridge in the new room is not clean - there were leftover coffee. I asked housekeeping to clean it up - and they did immediately. We went out for dinner since it took the bed too long to arrive. Once we got back, they gave us single bed instead of the double pullout bed.The pool and the public area was nice. But one of the light in the pool got loose and started floating around with wires and all.Room was on the 10 floor with a nice garden view but I couldn’t sleep well because it was not sound proof and I could hear everyone talking in the hallway. The view of the garden was quite nice, however, it is located next to the staff access to the garden for maintenance, and they stashed all kinds of trash, knick-knacks and tools right out side out our window, so unfortunately, those piles of messy stuff are also part of our view.Basically, this hotel should only be 3 stars, given the outdated facilities and terrible operations. Staff attitude was not too bad but none of them talks to one other and the entire operation and process is extremely broken. Not recommended and definitely not 5 star. This should be just a 3 star hotel instead.

Great location for a hotel. Comfy bed and rooms very spacious, however extremely dated: our room specifically had a broken shower holder, a missing door from one of the cabinets and generally outdated decor. Although this did not impact our stay as we were using the hotel as a base for a busy city break, I wouldn’t necessarily opt to stay here if I was planning on spending much time in the room.In terms of service, I found the reception to be poorly manned creating a queue both times we needed to attend the desk. As well as this staff were not overly welcoming or positive, especially when compared to a very similar hotel we had just left in Toronto.I cannot comment on the food service as this was not something we opted for.

Great pool and fitness area. Walking distance to just about anything you want to do in Montreal. Weird layout for a specific bank of rooms. Hard to explain but it is definitely an old building that could use some restructuring. One really annoying and weird thing is that the water recirculation system pulls scalding hot water through the cold pipes! My wife thought the toilet seat was heated but it was the steam from the scalding hot water in the bowl. I had the sink and shower at the coldest setting and it took 5 minutes to get the water to a tolerable temperature.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was warm and lively. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room service meal was delicious. I had the most wonderful salad w goat cheese and tender fresh beets and my husband had a piece of cod that he enjoyed thoroughly. The walk to the old section of Montreal was less than 10 minutes.

The hotel is beautiful, stunning all around. The staff were helpful and the rooms were quite nice. The beds and pillows were actually the comfiest I've ever had.Be prepared for a surprise to pay a lot for parking though, which I don't remember that being shown anywhere beforehand. It didn't take away from my trip though.
