Withrow Park Farmers' Market - June to October

This is a big cool farmers market that also feels like a great community event. It's fun to talk to vendors, there's a great variety of produce and prepared food, and some unique things I don't think you can find just anywhere. I went in July and the Toronto Public Library was running a children's storytime and had brought some books available for checkout, which I thought was pretty cool.There's also a wading pool and playground nearby for little ones, as well as face painting. There's usually some nice live music happening too.

This is a very meaningful and well supported community event - promotes low waste and various independent vendors. Easy to get to. Lots to do for all ages. Near a fenced in playground/ wading pool. Lots of shade for relaxing. Bring your blankets and a good book or just people watch.

This farmers market has a good website with up to date info. Beautiful large area for a market, friendly people, good variety of vendors easy to find street parking.I walked around twice, tempted to get so many things - samosas, momos, kombucha, cheese etc. Picked up my preordered takeaway from Mamalindas, grabbed some pies from Mnamdi, got some organic veggies....Then....I saw a long line for pastry and bread - that's a good sign. There was no name, but doesn't matter. They looked good!I was introduced to a xuixo - from Wikipedia -Xuixo (also known as xuxo; Spanish: suso) is a viennoiserie pastry from the city of Girona in Catalonia, Spain. It is a deep-fried, sugar-coated cylindrical pastry filled with crema catalana.Can't go wrong with that!!?? It was sooo good.Also got a brioche. Very good. There were so many other treats to try.Looked it up afterwards. This was motherdough bakery. Only at markets/ online ordering.

Hardly a FARMERS market. Or at least as I have experienced them before. Only 4 out of 20 stands have veggies and those only have 4 to 5 options garlic, zucchini and carrots. Nothing tempting or unusual. Pricey as well. Otherwise mostly candles and prepared foods and beer. Some $9 bread too.

I am a farmers market newbie and have always found it difficult to walk up to strangers poised to sell me their blood, sweat and tears.That said, this market is small and not overwhelming. The vendors were friendly, and there was lots of things to eat and drink on site.'No waste' to go container library for the eco-conscious. And the park has a ton of space to spread out and entertain the family.

Very nice place all kinds of organic food fruit, vegetables and skin care products also great place for kids entertainment.

One of the top markets in the city, with a huge variety of items from both farmers, artisans and craft makers! You can get everything from produce to fresh baked goods to plants for your garden to homemade dog treats to local craft beer, and so much more. There's a permanent seed library, they offer fresh coffee and promote zero-waste throughout the market. Several times a season they offer special events like themed swaps (2022 season has had clothing and kid's stuff so far, with kitchen items on 9/17). Overall, Withrow Park Farmers' Market does great things for our community and supports local businesses to the tune of several hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
