Japan Sushi
Took my grandchildren for lunch. We had checked 15 restaurants before we found this one that has gluten free options including soy sauce. My grandson said best in Toronto. The appetizer noodle salad was the best I have had. My roll had a salmon paste in the middle I didn't like as much if it were cucumber and avocado. But lots of other options.

I used to go to sushi on bloor for lunch often. One afternoon, they were extremely busy, and I didn't want to wait in the line. So I headed over to Japan sushi. Japan sushi is now my go-to sushi restaurant. The lunch course is my favorite! In terms of cost, Japan sushi is an over all better deal. And the quality of fish is a lot better! Also bonus points if you bring cash they have a 10% off discount. The bathroom also has mouth wash.

I’ve been going to the sushi restaurant for the last couple of weeks and have to say I’m very impressed with the service, quality and attention to detail.Here are the five Ss:Service/Staff: fantastic service. They are experts at taking care of customers and the sushi Chef is fantastic.Space: lovely, cozy interiorSeasoning/flavour: great quality ingredients, sushi rice is well seasoned. The fish is Fresh.Savings: Very good prices! Try the Lunch Bento.Selection: A very large menu with some amazing Maki and Special rolls.Definitely give this a try!

Had the lunch special. Everything was amazing! Their spring rolls were crispy and delicious! The tempura was good. Batter was light and shrimp plump and juicy. Prices were very cheap for what you get. Restaurant is a bit small/cozy but nice decor. Overall definitely coming back again.

I wanted to love this place because of their “affordable” lunch specials. However, the crab in their California roll was still wrapped in plastic and all of the rolls were mostly rice and had almost no meat / filling, except for cucumber. I’m sorry but it’s 2022, everything is expensive and I can’t afford to spend more than $50 on a meal that will end up being an epic failure. I know inflation is affecting all of us but if restaurants are rising their prices I assume the quality of their service will also rise. I’m very disappointed and I won’t be coming back.

I have been here a few times and I always have a pleasant time. Very cute and cozy restaurant, good staff, fast service, and obviously some great sushi.The miso soup is a fantastic way to start your meal, and they have a great selection of special rolls.Definitely recommend going here for your next sushi outing.
