After a telephone conversation with Paul I took my much loved Vienna regulator into the shop as it kept stopping. Without even glancing at it he told me it needed a service at a cost of £250. In actual fact it had been serviced less than 2 years ago and only needed a minor adjustment to the hanging of the case. Something another clock expert told me over the phone for nothing. My clock is now working perfectly and my bank account is all the better for not using Chimes. Avoid them.

Very bad experience. I took my watch here to have a new battery fitted. The man said to come back in an hour. When I came back, he said there was nothing wrong with the battery and the watch had actually broken and he needed to repair it for a cost of £200. I refused. I went somewhere else, and they inspected the watch and found out that he had actually failed to replace the functional battery, and the watch was completely fine. Very dishonest business.

I have an old Seiko kinetic watch that my wife took to this shop for repairs as it had a chipped face and a problem charging. They said the repairs would take a few weeks. Upon receiving it back, the watch still had the same charging issue and a new fault... the hour hand now jumps when I'm walking. My wife then tried to take it back today but the shop was shut, so she took it to a different repairer. He noted that it was full of dust and could only conclude that the back was left off for quite some time.In short, I won't be using them again, nor can I recommend their services.

Had my wedding band and engagement ring resized here along with another ring. Jeweller phoned me and gave me price before completing the job. Got my rings back and honestly they look better than brand new as they'd restored them also! I'm amazed with the final product and really impressed with the professional service all round. Will definately use again! Thankyou!

Excellent service and a willingness to listen to my exact requirements. They carried out the work on my 130 year old pocket watch with exceptional skill and in a timely manner. Communication was very good and their charges for work that is not easy to get done anywhere else I consider to be value for money. Don't go there looking for a cheap job, go there if you want a good job.

Wouldn't trust them with my lawnmower. Beware.Make sure you get back what you gave them.I presented two good valuable watches for insurance valuation, a Gold Heuer and a Rolex. The Heuer did work properly on return, and the Rolex had the retaining ring that holds the glass on stolen. They harvest parts from your valuables........

My 75 year mother took her gold bracelet to have another link put in as the old one had worn away after chasing several times to no joy Paul called after 5 weeks to say that he bracelet had been lost in the post with 5 others and had to wait for the post office to sort this out 2 weeks later again after several phone calls paul calls again to say he has now recieved the bracelet. My mother made 4 visits to town to collect the item as this shop is never openAvoid at all costs not fit to run a shop
