Easthill Medical and Walk-In Clinic

This is by far, the worst medical clinic I have ever been a patient of. Yesterday I was put on hold at 11:00 a.m., then I was disconnected after waiting an hour to talk to the receptionist, followed by being disconnected when the clinic closes for lunch. A patient cannot book an appointment because the phones are never answered. This is November end, 2022 and still waiting for the doctor to call me on test results from over 2 weeks ago. Was told the doctor would have the results the day of my tests, or the next day at the latest. Here I sit still waiting because I can't even call to book an appointment to find that out, because the phone is never answered!! Everytime I have been in the clinic, there were 3 -4 receptionists working at the same time. How is it that they can't answer the phone? Also I have witnessed, while there, the phone being answered, the patient put on hold, and the receptionist carrying on with other office duties. Just leave the phone and patient unattended to. Unbelievable!!

This is not my normal clinic to come to, I only use it for walk-in. The clinic has always been very accommodating when I've had to come here, and not usually too terrible of a wait time. They are very hard to get ahold of on the phone, but I have that issue with my family doctor as well. I have never had any complaints about any of the staff I've encountered here! Keep up the good work! Everyone is short staffed right now, no matter what industry you're in, everyone is doing the best they can with what they have available!

Dr. Ehigiator is phenomenal and makes me feel like I've been heard and she also makes me feel comfortable and safe! Everyone complains about the phones in their entitled reviews and overlooks the wonderful staff and doctors who are just their to help. I'm so grateful to have the Doctor that I do and I hope she knows how much she's appreciated and how much of a positive impact she has on people.

I have not had the experience that those complaining have had. I have experienced the best care at this clinic. Dr R Viljoen is caring and thorough. I count myself lucky to have her as a family doctor.

I came to this clinic when my doctor left at a different clinic. It was the only clinic accepting patients. We saw Dr Jay and at first he seemed good. However after a few visits he showed his true colours. First off you don’t tell an adolescent boy to be a man he is a boy not a man. Secondly you don’t tell him he is fat. You also don’t tell his mom that she has a large neck and this is the cause for not sleeping. I don’t have sleep apnea. Investigate before assuming. Fat people know they are fat they don’t need to be told. They need compassion to change. P.s I workout everyday to help be healthy. Healthy comes in all shapes and sizesand it’s your job to show compassion. God made me and my son perfectly the way we were intended to be. Another terrible down side is they never answer their phones I waited a hour and half to get through once and still never got through. I was told they are short staffed while this could be true fix the problem hire someone to answer phones. I will not be back I deserve respect and will not tolerate anything less.

Impossible to get an appointment with your doctor as they never answer the phones. Be prepared to waste countless hours/days on hold for nothing. If you do somehow manage to get an appointment with your doctor, they don't listen to your needs anyway. Don't take on transplant patients if you can't provide the care they need!

The doctors have always been great, last time I was there, the Dr. told me to call the next day between 11:00 and 12:00 for x-ray results. I called at 11:05, selected the appropriate option and sat on the phone until 12:05. No answer. Tried calling back but it wouldn't go through.EditThe Dr called me back and all is well.

Walk-in was quick compared to other clinics and the doctor was good. He was friendly and to the point. I appreciated that my time was valued and that the doctor would follow-up. Note: This is not my regular clinic.Could use improvement at reception as they skipped me as a walk-in patient, until I approached the desk. I knew they skipped me by 2 patients as they cycled through everyone who arrived before me and started to take patients after me. The receptionist did call out once only, which it was hard to hear. I'm assuming that's probably when she potentially called my name behind the desk and plexiglass (normally clinics call out a name loudly and clearly, say it a few times and talk to the patient room area vs. behind there desk). I approached the front desk after the 2 patients were called who showed up after my arrival as I realized she skipped me or took me off the list without trying to see if I was there (which I was in the clinic the whole time sitting). I politely asked the front desk how much longer of a wait it could be, which she had to look up my information again which was a second notification that they skipped me. She did rectify the situation by putting me next on the list which I appreciated, but I was disappointed that it occured. Also, they never asked me the usual question if my information was current. After leaving the clinic I realized my info was not current on my prescription. Additionally, not sure if the receptionist had an off day, but she could be friendlier while assisting her patients. I never brought up the issue to avoid embarrassing her; however, due to this particular experience I believe it's a concern that needs to be addressed for this clinic to become more successful.Update: the receptionist did call me afterwards that day and apologized. She explained she forgot to put my name on the list and apologized for the tension I witnessed between the staff members. I think it was commendable that she took accountability and took the time to discuss the situation. I really appreciated it. As the only receptionist in on the weekend, I can understand the amount of workload she had to manage and the stress she was under that day. I appreciated her for reaching out. It truly was meaningful.

Torn with this clinic, love my doctor, receptionists are typically lovely. Only grip I really have is we can hardly get through on the phone lines, I understand this is an ongoing issue, but still, it's an issue. Just frustrating to drive half way across the city to see" if we can get in. To thier credit

Do not go to doctor Etinosa ehigiator at easthill clinic. I don’t write reviews but after terrible experience repeating over and over with dr ehigiator I had to say something to help others. She gets results but never bothers to call her patients to let them know. No matter how serious the patients illness may be. She doesn’t listen. She makes her intentional “mistakes” the patients fault. She doesn’t assess her patients properly nor does she give the right lab work or meds. She just doesn’t care about the patients at all. Please get treated properly by a professional doctor.
