SOHO Art & Custom Framing

Received wonderful and helpful service during my first visit not too long ago. I came in needing a custom frame as part of a gift and they came through just in time for when I needed it as I set the artwork in myself. It was a fast and straightforward process as I had an idea of what I needed, but their suggestions were welcome and taken. It turned out better than expected.They are very busy and were still able to help me out. I can see why! I’ll be going in again soon and will use them for my future commissions.So grateful to have them in my community.

Edit: The owner has responded to my original review with false information and an attack on my personal character. To clarify, there was never any phone communication (only by e-mail or in-person), there was never any offer to change the type of frame, there was never any offer of a refund until I requested today, and I have only ever had pleasant exchanges with the staff and sales manager (who kindly provided the refund today).I'm honestly stunned at the level of defensiveness and dishonesty in the owner's response, but it also reinforces some of the issues I outlined in my original review. I would strongly advise against bringing your business here.Original review: I would not bring my business here again. I ordered 2 small pieces of art to be framed in mid-July. The first piece was finished after 3 weeks, but initially not centered properly in the matting/frame (photo attached). Instead of acknowledging the issue and suggesting ways it could be fixed, the owner was defensive and insisted that it just needs to settle in the frame" and "the edges of the drawing aren't straight". It felt like I had to work to persuade them to have it re-done and centered properly. Remarkably

Something that has been on my to do list for years is to frame and put up my @jamesjeanart print. Today, I finally have it up on the wall. The fairy tale of Chang'e means so much to me and makes me miss my grandmother. Thank you to Tamar and the staff @sohoframing for helping me out. They do amazing work. I also learned that a fellow James Jean fan framed my piece and was very happy to see it.

Tamar is so lovely and helpful when getting things framed! We are lucky to have such a caring shop owner in our neighbourhood and now our home is filled with beautifully framed memories!

I absolutely love this framing shop - not only do they have a fantastic selection of framing options, they’ve also got a knowledgeable staff to help guide you through the processPictured here is the second piece I had custom made. Awkward edges, delicate paper, and chalk art did not make this an easy task. They were patient with me while I compared a dozen different frame options, they walked me through the preservation of chalk process, and did it all with a great attitude.Cannot recommend enough!

Came across SoHo framing on Instagram and decided to use their services for some new artwork. My experience was great both times I went into the store. Kody helped me with my framing order originally and when I went to pickup the owner helped me. She was friendly and even gave me the proper nails and hooks which I used. Very happy with the framework for my photographs and illustration piece. Would return here for any future framing.

I have gone to this shop twice now, and each time has been a great experience. Cody is so helpful, and really brings your vision for your custom framing to life! I went in today with a sentimental item for Mother’s Day, and Cody was immediately on the same page, making sure that I had all of my questions answered and was excited about what would be the finished product. 10/10.

Fantastic experience at SOHO. Brought in several pieces requiring variety of work from new matting to frames and glass type. Kody was incredible! The initial apt was a few hours and we greatly appreciated his suggestions, expertise and friendly demeanour. The pieces turned out exactly as we’d hoped. Highly recommend seeing Kody, it was a great experience at SOHO thanks to him!

The best framing experience I've had in Toronto. The turn around was quick, the quality excellent and professional - they provided exactly what I asked and the price was reasonable! Highly recommended.
