I had known about Sonja's gift for creating one of a kind pieces and admired her creations from afar until this year, when I was finally ready to transform my no-longer worn jewelry. Sonja's process takes you much deeper than colors, preferences and styles. She wanted to know the stories behind my jewelry and about my life's journey. Her questions guided me to the ultimate creation of a gorgeous ring honouring loved ones who preceded me, walked with me and who followed me. Sonja is a delight to work with. It took me awhile to be able to write this Review because I feel so taken and disappointed. I gave Sonja my .75 carat diamond ring and a band with marque set diamonds, both set in 18k white gold so she could “recycle the love” and create a unique set for our anniversary. Below is what I was given with little to no information on the process or outcome. I was dumbfounded. She insisted on using palladium and traded my gold for it. Aside from the disappointment with how terrible both rings looked, as you see they look completely mismatched together. I paid for a custom band which was actually off her rack. The palladium looked gray and actually broke my finger out, which is why I wear 18k gold jewelry. She agreed to redo my diamond ring at my expense and I was pretty much forced to go with her as no jeweler I spoked to would agree to take the diamond out of that God awful setting for fear the diamond would chip. Also I had to buy back my 18k gold at a higher price. I went with on of her rack bands and she stuck my diamond, still set in palladium, on the band. She made a new band with new diamonds I had to purchase as she obviously cannot designed with square diamonds. The new rings are better but not ideal and cannot be worn together. An absolute nightmare to work with. She is no designer and a nasty person to deal with. Beware!

I heard about Sonja from a close friend and realized that her Recycle Your Love" program was exactly what I was meant to do with jewelry I was no longer wearing from a man who was no longer in my life. The meetings with Sonja to discuss the creation of the new pieces were deep and profound. It was as though she knew me and yet we had never met. The process was cathartic and a beautiful way to move forward in my life. Her work is stunning and I receive compliments from everyone who sees me wearing her pieces. It was a dream of mine for years to have a stack of rings made by Sonja. After a very difficult 2019/2020 it was time. My journey to have the rings made lead to a bracelet and THE most beautiful mala ever. Sonja is a wonder to work with. She understood me and my wishes and she guided me with intention that is manifest in the results. It could not have been a better experience.

Sonja, created 2 individual pieces for me. One reflective of my children and our bond, the second reflective of my love for my creator. Both pieces were created from my recycled jewellery that no longer had meaning or purpose.

I love Sonja's work, my partner has gifted me many of her silver pieces. Recently, she helped me to redesign unworn jewelry I inherited from my Mama, Nana and Grandma into beautiful pieces I will wear regularly. Sonja really took the time to understand my life story, my values and goals and created pieces full of symbolism and intention, including affirmations on the back side. When I wear them I feel a powerful connection to my ancestors and my spirituality.

Sonja is such a talent and is wonderful work with. Something store bought was not for us. We wanted rings that combined gold that my grandfather mined in the Yukon and air loom jewelry from my wife’s family with a dash of new for good measure. Our desire was for rings to rings that represented our past, present and future.
