Brantford train station - VIA Rail

This is a small station and it was very clean and well maintained.

I was so impressed by the station manager. I don't travel by train much, but the friendliness and personal touch shown by the person in the ticketing office was unbelievable.Without my asking for it, he offered and gave me senior discount, as I am much more than 65 years old. I asked him if there is a restaurant within the station or nearby, and he gave me snack packs and water bottle, free of charge. Very impressive and so kind of him.About, 30 minutes after, when I had plugged in my mobile phone to charge in the waiting room, when I went to retrieve it, it was gone. I was not sitting close to it.There were just 3 or 4 persons in the waiting hall. I immediately went to him to tell him. And within 2 minutes, I saw him talking to a woman coming out the washroom, and next thing I know that woman took out my phone and charger from her bag and gave it to me. Just an unbelievable incident. I was just amazed at the whole event itself and the speedy outcome. I was so thankful to this young station manager for such strange but efficient response and results produced.

Ignoring the current state of VIA as a business, no complaints about this station. Straight forward single platform affair with affordable day parking.

Give Me the strength via rail has some of the rudest crabby people working for them. Not only does no one want to work there. These people make you feel like your inconvenience inconvenience them. Girl Let me tell you this one lady almost rose my blood pressure. The passengers are irritating and they don't hide it. Honey we all have to work at least put a smile on. This is the second time my butter cup butt has been one this train and both times they fell short. Please hire some nice people that don't mind helping.

Amazing Experience!It was my first time ever taking one of the trains and the staff I had talked to were more than happy to help and went above and beyond with assisting me. I want to say a huge thank you to Jeffrey and Garrett for the help with bokking the train and I look forward to using this business again!

Tried to book a one way ticket online from Brantford to London. The payment methods state you can pay by credit card or VISA or MASTERCARD Debit card. However it would not accept my Mastercard debit card. I had to go to the station to get my ticket. The agent claimed it said on the website that payment could only be a credit card. Misinformation all around. Very inconvenient Via Rail.

The station has vending machines and ample seating. The parking lot is never too busy. It’s just sad to see water damage on the ceiling and other things that haven’t been up-kept over the years. It’s a beautiful historic building.
