Thoughtful Paws Grooming

This place is THE BEST! If you’re looking for a kind, quick, and affordable groomer you have found them! They are extremely gentle with my 10 year old frenchie that has a bad back, and show so much patience with my friends 1 year old frenchie that’s full of jellybeans! (And snot) These guys are saints, and are more focused on you and your dog having a wonderful and informative experience than anything else. Thoughtful paws rocks!Thanks for always fitting us in and helping us keep our “little potatoes” looking and feeling they’re best!We’ll see you soon!

From setting up the appointment to picking up my dog thoughtful paws has been nothing but professional and friendly. My dog clearly loved it as during our walks today she kept trying to pull me back. Plus they dressed her up in a nice handkerchief and she refuses to take it off. Great value, great customer service, and terrific job grooming my dog

I called to see if walk in appointments are back in business at Thoughtful Paws and they are! I was more than happy to wear the requested mask while Angela and Scott worked on my three dogs.The kindness, time, and compassion for all of my animals is over the top! I was so pleased there was no judgement on the long claws I brought in for them to take care of for us.Scott and Angela are ALWAYS awesome. My wife and I live near Courtenay a few months a year. We brought our pup from Ontario on this trip so we needed to find her a groomer (she's a cockapoo and her fur grows very quickly). Our plan was to bring Brandy Bear to a few places over the coming months to see what one she would like the best. After our first visit, we decided not to look any further and have her booked again in a few weeks. A very professional outfit, great location, and great service. We appreciated the great cut and kindness. She was smiles when we picked her up - right on schedule. Thank you :)

Greatly disappointed and a bit shocked to be honest. They now pick and choose clients apparently! I have a sweet gentle non aggressive senior (12 year old) dog with a double coat (sheds a lot every spring), whom they had happily clipped in the past. We usually take him to a groomer twice a year for his coat changeover. (Spring/Fall). And maintain at home ourselves the rest of the year. They declined to book him in this year because of him “needing a double spot due to the double coat” and she said they “prefer to take just their ‘easy’ regular every-8-week-trim and groom clients’ dogs” and would not book a spot for him, at all. Even though it’s February. And I was happy to wait for a double spot and book into April, or later. Greatly disappointed in this type of customer service. I will be bringing his other groomer we use that is always happy to see him! (He is a favourite, very sweet dog, just very furry!) Never expected this type of customer service from Thoughtful Paws as they were wonderful in the past.

Terrible experience! Treated my elderly mother and elderly dog very badly. Dog has bald patches everywhere. Never seen such a bad shave. First and last time.

I was unsure about having my cairn terrier clipped. Just got him back and i am delighted at the way he looks. Thank you for a great job , see you in 10 weeks.

These groomers are awesome! Our last groomer thought our toy poodle was very difficult to groom. He made loud whines constantly and eventually tried to bite her. She put a muzzle on him. I warned these groomers of all that and despite my fears, they were happy to give Henry a go. When I picked him up they said there was no noise and no need for a muzzle! He was happy and looked terrific!!

We’ve been taking our little Benji here since we moved to town. Super impressed with the friendliness, professionalism, and especially the love and care he receives while here. They have very fair and honest pricing and are always grateful for the tip. Would strongly recommend to anybody!
