They have many flavours available. I got the custard, taro, corn & cheese, potato & cheese, and matcha & red bean ones. All of them were delicious!Friendly staffs and cozy ambience. Highly recommended

JoDeen Cafe specializes in Taiwanese wheel cakes. We dropped in on a bumping Friday evening. They were sold out of several flavours but there was 8 options ($3.35 to $3.85). There’s a weekday special combo (15% off when purchasing two cakes + a drink).- Passion fruit green tea ($5.75) - nothing particularly memorable about the drink.- Lychee green tea ($5.75) - J added pearls ($0.50) and agar jelly ($0.50).- Cheese & corn wheel cake ($3.85) - tried a savoury flavour. Not my cup of tea. Corn was Green Giant" style corn niblets.- Taro wheel cake ($3.35) - filling was bland.- Red bean wheel cake - plenty of red bean but flavour

The wheel cakes they make here are very good. The flavors are loaded and jam packed! Explosion of flavor and custard. Eating it warm there is perfect. We asked for their today special" and got the Nutella&custard one and vanilla ice cream one."

This is my first time in the place. Presentation/image of the place is pristine, it is very cool to see how wheel cakes are prepared while you are sitting... I am not giving the best rating as my coffee was not strong enough; my friend's moka was prepared with Nesquik; found the place a little pricy, and you can only pay cash/debit. Visit and judge 4 yourself.

I was fortunate to be treated to this delightful dessert while visiting a friend close by. It was still warm and although I had a big lunch and wasn't hungry at all, I gobbled it away without regret.Try it! I know I'll swing by to try other flavours.

My girlfriend and I have been craving for these wheel cakes for a week or so now. Wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately the custard pearls one was out of stock but the original custard was very milky and nice. Not very similar to what I'm used to but the sweetness was perfect. Would recommend! Parking is quite easy and the cafe is quite big.

Very nice aesthetics, the theme is a very unique shade of blue (sort of like Tiffany blue). There are 4-5 tables (comfortably sits 4 people per table) by the window. You can watch them make the wheel cakes behind a glass panel as well which is fun. In general, the wheel cakes are very well made in terms of the texture and shape. It takes them much longer than what you might be used to at night markets, as they take their time cooking with the shell (nice and hard, not soggy), and fill it to the brim with filling then carefully assembly it. There’s also a cool branded logo they burn into the top of the wheel cake.**These cakes are very very low in sweetness – this can be a pro or a con, depending on your own palate. In my opinion, it was not sweet enough as a desert (I am the type to get 50% sugar at bubble tea places). The quality is definitely there, but it is a bit bland due to the low sweetness level. It is also quite pricy for a wheel cake, but I guess you’re paying for the top-grade quality. They also have savoury wheel cakes, but I did not get a chance to try them.My order:Custard ($3.25)Pearl & Custard ($3.75): My fave one out of the ones I tried as it was unique, and the pearls added a very nice chew texture to the wheel cake. Eat it while it is still hot for the full experience.Taro ($3.25): Real taro! Taro flavour was good, and pretty smooth. Again, it is very very low in sweetness, so it may not taste like a dessert per se.Red Bean ($3.25): This one has sesame seeds in the shell. You can ask them to custom make it without, but you’ll need to either call ahead of time, or wait for a new batch.

My wife found this shop has special wheel cakes with red beans. She is the big fan of red beans cakes like the Korean fish cake.We special make a drive there. She likes the cake a lot but she is disappointed by the tea. She orders one Earl Grey latte and she find out it is make from Twinings' tea bag. She expects the latte should make of loose tea instead of teabag. The staff there are really nice and helpful. They make good wheel cakes. I hope we will have better drink next time.

This place could be a nice hidden gem for some people. Place is tucked away with little visibility from Kingsway with less parking availability but the place is quite cozy and neat. Some seatings though not many. They have limited bakery options but I really like what they had. Americano was very reasonably priced and quite large in portion. I would come back if in the area.
