such a cute toy store in the wharf village. literally made me feel like a child again and i love how they carry such a wide variety of toys. this store also introduced me to many new things too such as jellycats and i love that they support local artists (i’m assuming!). i think i could spend hours in this store :). also i think everything is reasonably priced (coming from an american)

Jellycat! They sell jellycat!We came for the above and left with an idea to cover our walls with puzzles... After attempting a puzzle we realized we were bad at puzzle making.Anyways, go in for a quick walk around. The sales people are super nice and are not bothered if you go into browse. They do have a gate in the front to limit people and you need to be let in to be... Let in.

I was just watching a Hallmark Christmas movie and recognized Steveson. Although I've been living in Ontario for the past eight years, Richmond will always be home for me.I am so happy to read to that Splash Toy Store is still in business! I loved coming to the store as a child and adult. I still have dolls and toys from the store and I remember buying birthday gifts for friends too. Definitely have fond memories!

Great selection and the staff are excellent, super friendly and helpful. Our little guy spent a long time playing with their toy tables while we looked around. Tons of cool stuff to check out!

TL:DR: Is she just rude or is she racist? Find out next time on Dragonball Z.I've shopped for toys at this location twice now.The blond woman (who I presume is the owner) is awkward at best, and racist at worst.I don't want to jump to conclusions but after reading through some of the other 1 star reviews. It seems like other Asian customers had negative experiences.I bought something last weekend and the owner (blonde woman) was standing at the till, made no expression when I walked up and then said to the young employee you take this one"The young employee was super nice and very kind. I paid $60+ dollars for a stuffed animal and I think I can receive basic respect right? If I spent $5 I still deserve basic respect.I was happy with my toy but now Im not sure if I want to shop here ever again. I was made to feel un-welcomed in RICHMOND of all places.The blonde woman had one other transaction with a man and offered gift wrapping and all kinds of things. but it definitely wasn't the case here.I hope this owner is an equal opportunity offender and just treats everyone badly. I'll feel better that way. :)"

I love this store! In my never-ending quest to find puzzles for my puzzle-addicted younger sister, Splash has been a wonderful resource. In the past 36 hours, I've dealt with staff over the phone and in person, and they couldn't have been more helpful or lovely. Not only do they keep records of my purchases (so I don't give duplicate gifts) but they have an amazing assortment of puzzles available in the store--I don't know how they fit everything into a retail space! The store is bright and fun and full of friendly, knowledgeable staff. I'm so happy to support this Steveston business.

Great selection of toys for all ages and lovely staff. I saw a toy I wanted to get as a gift - there was only one left and basically all the staff took turns looking for it which I thought was so sweet. One of them found it when I had already bought another model, and they quickly switched it out and helpfully taped the gift receipts to their respective items that I bought. Customer service makes a difference! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area again.

My Brother bought a puzzle for his Wife in advance of her Birthday. She tried exchanging it for another of the same value. She was told flat out that this was not possible because it violated their 14 day return policy (it was 30 days at this point)We were left completely puzzled by the rudeness off the clerk and the inflexibility. Needless to say my Brother will not be picking up the puzzle he had placed on order order and we will never shop there again. In the day and age of the “shop Local,” push why would you bother, when a faceless organization like Amazon provides better service - Sad.
