Beautiful place for a long walk. Lots of birds but in april without rain boots or similar you will have a bad time. Prepare and you will have a wonderful time..There is parking near the MacTaggart trail.

First time here and loved it. Little bit of mud, but expected for this time of year. Edmonton has so many beautiful places to explore and this is definitely one!

AMAZING! Cannot believe that I’ve never went for a hike at this place in the city. It’s amazing you feel like you’re not even in the city! The trails were great and well-maintained my dog really enjoyed our very long hike! Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful area. My friend got her wedding photos done here; there is a beautiful bridge and a really nice log for rustic photos. We saw lots of people walking their dogs here! It was lovely.

Amazing network of trails through some pretty dense foilage. Beautiful fall colours. I didnt see a single Larch tree though. Not sure the reason for the name? If its you first time, do bring a cellphone with google maps. Trials are narrow, hidden, with lots of bifurcations. I think this is the best nature walk in the city.

Fantastic walk along Whitemud creek. This sanctuary area Is amazing. The trail is paved and follows along the edge of the McGrath and Mctaggert communities. There are several information boards along the trail that tell about the flora and fauna of the area and the history also. I recommend coming here and enjoying the the walk and beautiful location.

Such a cool hidden gem! There’s a parking lot at the start of the area which is nice, not too big but seems big enough for the area. There are a few trails, not marked and sometimes it’s difficult to figure out where to go and the trails get really muddy in the summer/after rain! Then you come across this beautiful clearing lake area not too far in and it’s amazing! Definitely bring bug spray in the summer, mosquitos are crazy.
