4Cats Arts Studio (Uptown Waterloo)

My son attended a few classes at the studio and loved it. He learned a lot and his teacher was great. Then COVID hit and we all went into lockdown. In the summer of 2020, they were offering camps and I signed him up for a week. We then decided not to send them to camp and when I contacted the studio they said that wasn't a problem, we would simply get a credit to our account, which we could use for any classes/camps in the future. That sounded great, since we liked the place and were planning to go back anyway. Fast forward to summer 2021, new manager, apparently new customer system and new email address (which they changed without letting anyone know) and there is no trace of our money. Apparently my child isn't even in their system. $300+ out and there is nothing they can do apparently because the current manager wasn't here when all of this happened and their new system doesn't show our record.I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but this is really beyond disapointing, especially from a place we really liked to begin with.

Had lots of fun with my friend following a tutorial for creating our own love dip dishes. Will be going back for sure. The videos are very helpful and let us work at our own pace so we did not feel rushed. We got to come back and dip the products so they turned out very well.

TAKE CAUTION: Difficult site to book through. They are hard to get a hold of and do not do phone calls. If the site makes a mistake in booking, they keep your money. Would not recomend this establishment, poor business practises.

Love the 4Cats franchise and was really happy to find that we had one here when we moved. Had our daughters birthday here and the staff were helpful and attentive. The kids had an absolute blast. I’ve found that 4Cats does a great job of balancing the fun of art with the art history component (which I think is important) - and I appreciate that they do it in a way that is accessible to kids. They also host a lot of fun workshops for the kids that they can do themselves or you can do as a family. Great spot

I've been to 4Cats several times now and love it! The prices are really reasonable, and the crafts are the right amount of fun and challenging.

Great little art studio. Have done a couple of project and want to go back to do more for sure! The staff is fantastic and the projects are incredibly cute. You follow instructions on a tablet but the staff encourages to be original and give it your own spin, plus help out when you are not sure what to do. The pictures on my review are all for the 1 house which we gave our own spin to make 4 different ones!

It was my first time making a clay mug. I found it pretty challenging but the whole experience is rewarding. The instructor was a little bit too fast. The table is pretty short, kind of for kids size. The light at the front part of the studio is still not working properly (like other people reviews from couple months ago said.) I'd like to do another kind of workshops that they have, probably painting. I feel its a good activity to experience with your friends or family. Definitely recommend to go here.

Such a fun place to visit, create in and learn about art. The team in Waterloo is very helpful and kind, and have created a great environment to spend time in.

So much fun! Did a wheel class for the first time ever. The instructors did a cool demo and were super helpful.

Very poor customer service. Difficult website to use and makes mistakes. Do not make any errors on their website as they will refuse a refund, even if the error is on their behalf. They have a chat" option and it is difficult to follow
