I used to recommend this store but will no longer do so. After visiting this store many times and becoming friends with Raj and his wife, I purchased a dining room set several months ago. Raj asked me what size table I needed and I said 7ft. He then asked me if I wanted leaves for the table and I said yes, 2 of them. The purpose of a leaf is to be able to EXTEND the table.... 7 ft plus 2 ft = 9ft. Instead Raj put on my invoice that I wanted a 60 inch table because he inferred that I meant 7ft including the leaves. I NEVER, NOT ONCE said anything about wanting a 5 ft table. When I went to the store to talk to Raj about it after we took delivery of the furniture and i realized the misunderstanding that had occurred, he couldn't dismiss me fast enough, saying I signed the invoice - I got what I ordered. No amount of past friendship and previous orders mattered. What I got was treated terribly and he fully and completely put the blame on me - that I didn't proof read the measurements he entered on my invoice and it's my fault I failed to calculate in my head that 60 inches meant 5ft and not 7ft. Raj YOU never reviewed the invoice with me, YOU never said: to confirm you want a 5 ft table plus two 1ft leafs for a total of 7ft. Our conversation on measurements was never discussed in inches. I never would have anticipated that you didn't understand what the purpose of a leaf is and that YOU would write down the measurement incorrectly because our conversation on size had been so simple: 7ft plus two leaves. So much time spent on wood stain and fabric swatches, never would I have expected a basic table size misunderstanding. I figured out when I came back to your store what happened - all of your dining room sets on display are shown with leaves installed, so you clearly followed the way you normally order tables for your store and made assumptions on what I wanted. You don't permanently put leaves on display in your house Raj!! What's the point of value selling how you can nicely tuck them away inside the table !? I get upset looking at this little table every time I walk past my dining room. I have family coming for Christmas where we'll have to now use two tables in two different rooms because we can't fit 8 chairs around this table. You could have offered to come up with a solution to this Raj and you couldn't care less. Thousands of dollars spent and I'm beyond disappointed and upset to this day and do not recommend this store any more.RESPONSE TO RAJA: I physically drove 1/2 hour to your store less than 3 weeks after we took delivery to have the conversation in person, because I knew on the phone it would not go well. Really what matter did timing have since you had zero interest in doing anything to help me? I expected better having the conversation in person and was beyond disappointed how Raj quickly dismissed me and had no problem letting me leave your store upset. Further, I would have hoped Raja that YOU would have reached out to me to propose a solution but you did not. This was months ago. Now we have bad feelings and I have no desire to set foot in your store ever again.

After searching multiple shops for furniture, we decided to select a dining set from Accent Furniture's catalogue advising of Canadian manufacturing with ample selection in store.It's been less than 1 year of purchase with very minimal use from my partner and I as we live in a small condo. The sewn seam has already begun to unravel. Reached out to the contact details stated on the receipt - phone number was unavailable, reached out by email asking for ways to repair. We've come to terms that the chair can not be replaced but disappointed in the response provided that supplier does not provide wear and tear as it is imported from China or Vietnam (wish this was mentioned prior to purchasing)

We recently purchased a dining room table from Handstone, and after explaining it had to be large enough to accommodate all of our guests we decided to get one with end leaf extensions. When we got the table these end leafs did not come with the design of the apron on the table looking unfinished! We spoke to Raj explaining that this should have been pointed out prior to signing the paper work for the order, he understood and did everything to help us with the issue. Less than 2 weeks later he had our end leafs back and ended up with happy customers, we ended up with a beautiful hand made table!

We were shopping for a custom dinning set and wanted a solid wood set made in Canada preferably made in Ontario. Handstone Furniture was on the list but some of the quotes we got seemed unreasonable.In Dundas & Dixie area this store is perhaps the largest showroom with many Handstone Tables and chairs on the floor and in every finish that Handstone makes. The floor pieces even more reasonable than the ones you customize.Raj is a helpful and quoted reasonable prices and we struck a deal. The delivery is severely delayed due to pandemic which is the only unfortunate thing.

The best experience!! I have to say thank you so so much to the managers of Accent Furniture, I really appreciated everything from entering into the store and being greeted so well, to the patience that they had with me in choosing each detail of the hardwood table set and two bedroom sets that we had purchased! Raj and Tina both looked after us very well and felt like family once we left! We will most certainly be going back for our sectional sofa and other kitchen table set that we need very soon!They both treat their customers with so much care, enthusiasm and they made sure that I was happy with the purchase and set up! Customer service makes all the difference, and this truly was a very warm and delightful experience! My husband and I could tell that they wanted the best experience for us, and did their absolute best helping with whatever we needed! I'm so disappointed to read negative comments about the service because I can attest to how incredible the service was, its sad to see people trying to ruin their reputation because of a bad experience that was outside the manager's control. Please take a chance on them because they are the most humble and kind people that you'll meet.We absolutely love all the products that we purchased and have had furniture from them before and it is always evergreen – they look as amazing as they did when we first purchased them years ago and that is a testament to the quality of the furniture at Accent! Always a pleasure :) Thank you so much!

Stumbled upon this place recently and very happy that we did! We purchased 2 sectional couches, a bedroom set and a tv stand for our new home. The bedroom furniture and stand we all solid wood and completely customizable for our needs. Beautiful handmade pieces from a Mennonite family that will be timeless forever pieces. It’s a family run business and Raj is very knowledgeable as he has been in the furniture business for a few decades. The prices are reasonable and the quality is great. Highly recommend.

Purchased a dining room set, and a few more items with Accent Furniture. I would highly recommend them very professional and reasonable. On delivery the dinning table was bigger than ordered when notified Tina was amazing she confirmed she would order the right size and would be delivered in a few weeks. We just received our new table and all is perfect. Very good Canadian made furniture (Handstone) and Accent Furniture was amazing. Highly recommend this store.Maria S.

I would highly recommend this company! We purchased a bedroom suite that we custom designed to our liking. The quality of the furniture is top notch and the customer service is extremely professional. A great team!

Do not go here! Worst customer service ever. Raj is extremely rude and disrespectful. We understand that mistakes can happen, but the way he handled it shows that he only wants to make a quick buck and does not care or respect his customers. We bought a sectional sofa from here, and we clarified beforehand that the delivery fee included dropping the sofa in the room that we want. We were also told for an additional tip, they can even assemble it, which we were prepared to do. What actually happened when they delivered was a shock. The two delivery people left the sofa halfway through the main door. The sofa was literally half inside the condo, and half in the hallway. We could not close the main door, and the two delivery people left sneakily without saying a word. While on the phone with Raj, he said that they could not bring the sofa inside because it will not fit through the entrance (this was untrue because our neighbours helped us bring the sofa inside later with no issues). Still on the phone with Raj, we said that if the sofa does not fit through our doorway, then please ask the delivery people to take it back and you can refund us. He said he will keep 40% and will only refund 60%. Are you serious??? Firstly, your delivery people did not know how to bring the sofa inside, and then you refused to take it back and refund us? We’re we supposed to leave the sofa in the public hallway of the building? He did not care at all. When your customer is negatively impacted and not receiving what they paid for, the business owner should step up, take responsibility and suggest solutions, last resort give a refund. Not only did Raj not take any responsibility, he also raised his voice at us, multiple times. Raj, you should learn how to talk to your customers, or else you won’t have any left. We are never stepping foot in this store again.

We visited the store when looking for a sectional and they have a lot of gorgeous unique pieces many of which are hand made in Canada. We ordered a custom couch and unfortunately when it arrived it could not fit due to the tight turns. If you’re ordering something custom make sure you discuss any delivery restrictions.The couch had to go back but Raj tried very hard to remedy the situation. He offered other options that were on the floor so we wouldn’t have to wait the 6 weeks for another one to be made. However in the end we really wanted the one we ordered and ended up removing a bay window so it could fit into the house.We’ll be going back for more furniture once COVID restrictions are lifted. Their Mennonite built items are really unique and stunning.
