Lovely b&b with an absolute knockout breakfast. The rooms were spacious with private bathrooms, beautiful hardwood floors and window A/C units for those hot, muggy nights of summer. In the morning we awoke to a huge breakfast full of fresh fruits, delicious pastries, and a substantial meal that had us going until mid afternoon. Would definitely recommend!

Family-run bed and breakfast near the centre of Annapolis Royal. It’s a converted home, so some of the bathrooms are small former closets. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, served with antique dishes, china teacups and silverware.

This past Thursday we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Carlisle House. The tea was delicious; a large selection of teas, the freshest and wide range of sandwiches, great scones, and the tastiest squares and cakes. The portions were very generous and the service was friendly, very accommodating, and perfect. We will return very soon.

I recently stayed at the Carlisle and had a great experience! Some highlights:- Gorgeous heritage property- Recently renovated so the room was beautiful, clean, and had modern amenities like enough power outlets and an air conditioner.- The room had an ensuite washroom with great water pressure.- The breakfast was AMAZING! There was a beautiful spread of sweets, scones, spreads and fruit, a yoghurt parfait, eggs, bacon and toast. Plus they accommodated my lactose sensitivity.- Only 10 minutes by foot from the middle of town (even closer to the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens)- The proprietor Teresa was very friendly and had great insights to share about the area.I highly recommend this place!

Staff were very accommodating for a last minute booking requiring a cot. Linens were very comfortable. Has AC! Bathroom was huge with ample hot water. Breakfast had variety to suit any taste. Only complaint would be that the wifi was sporadic and some of the rooms are looking a bit tired. Would highly recommend if in the area

During a 10-day trip where I stayed at three inns and 2 BnBs, Carlisle House was the biggest disappointment and by far the worst value. The web site promised a newly-renovated inn, but the owner had cut corners everywhere. Her renovation" included slapping paint on windows and walls without preparing the surfaces

A beautiful old house built in 1868 and still in good condition. Our room was clean but small, and with no closet to hang clothes. This made it inconvenient and cramped as we had suitcases. The breakfasts had the ingredients for something special but they were average. The first course was a yogurt cup with fruit on top and granola in the bottom of the cup and fruit slices on the side. The granola was quite soft and a bit mushy, maybe due to it being prepared the night before. The main breakfast course consisted of either sausage or bacon, 2 small pancakes, poached eggs and some lettuce. The pancakes were chewy and the eggs were quite hard and not hot. It was an enjoyable stay, but not like some of the other B&B's we visited.

Had afternoon tea here for my birthday, it was a fantastic time. They have a great selection of teas, absolutely fantastic spread of assorted sandwiches and sweets. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend.

It turned out to be a very disappointing and expensive experience that I have still not quite recovered from. I arrived to be assigned a small, kind of dingy room and the air was very stuffy and stale, it actually smelled of bad morning breath". The receptionist said that the window was broken so could not be opened. There was actually weather stripping hanging from the window
