We had planned for some time to have a window seat installed in the dining room and after seeing Matt’s work, knew we wanted him to do the job. We asked Matt to install a railing on our steep, long driveway. After discussion with Matt, we decided to use rope, which turned out to be very successful. He constructed a functional, sturdy, very attractive railing that was useful in the recent storms. You will find Matt to be polite, professional, creative and a hard worker. He completes the job on time, cleans up daily and is very reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to use him again.

A previous contractor installed a wood surround to our recently purchased electric fireplace and in less than a year, it twisted and knots appeared in the surround…when he was called to repair his work, he simply did not respond to calls, texts or emails. Matthew was hired by our strata to do some work which was done very well…he was further hired to do some work for a neighbour and this too was done exceptionally so we enlisted Matthews help. He removed the twisted base of our wall mounted surround without damaging the rest of the surround. He informed me that the previously used surround was knotty pine (a cheap wood, which explained why knots appeared and twisting occurred). He installed a guaranteed knot free base of high quality wood and helped me to reinstall the fireplace which had to be removed for the work to be done. He then explained what I had to do to paint the base (as I chose to paint it myself) and he returned when I made a mistake. He fixed my mistake and I finished the painting. It looks perfect.
