Sugar That Hair Removal | Chatham

I have seen Sadie in Chatham consistently since 2021 for various sugaring services and she is always very pleasant and professional. My favourite thing about Sadie is she is very consistent, I always know exactly what to expect when I see her, the appointments always start and end on time, and she has great availability. She very much matches my energy whether I want to chat or am quiet during the appointment which I appreciate. The Sugar That studio in Chatham is inside the Blair’s Campus and is very unique. The studio is very nice and the team is constantly elevating the space with new decor, furniture, and supplies as they continue to grow. I like the studio as it feels very private and professional - you do need to climb a set of stairs to get to the studio though, I’m not sure if there is a more accessible route. I’m very happy that there is now a points program, and there are often promotions that I get notified about via email (and they do not spam your email which I appreciate). Making an appointment online is very easy. For those who have not tried sugaring - yes having your hair pulled out will hurt a bit - no getting around that haha. That being said, having received waxing services before switching to sugaring, the results of sugaring are much more thorough and long-lasting. The sugar mixture is not hot so you never have to worry about your skin being burned/irritated by the mixture itself. Unlike waxing, with sugaring you can go over areas of skin multiple times to ensure all the hair is removed root to tip. If your hair is the right length nothing will be missed. Although waxing may in some cases be quicker, I have found sugaring to be much more accurate (accurate as in it can capture all the hair) and much gentler on my skin barrier. My advice before attending an appointment - read and follow the instructions on the website under the FAQ section. As with any hair removal service, the hair MUST be the correct length if you want it all gone. If it is too short, neither wax or sugar will ever be able to grab it so plan ahead of your appointment to get the most out of the service.

Sugaring is a much more pleasant experience than waxing and the prices are very reasonable. Sadie was great and had my brows finished in no time at all. Staff is very professional and the salon is clean and quiet - totally recommend Sugar That!!!

My first, and what will be only visit to Sugar That, was disappointing to say the least. When I arrived the woman barely said hello, and walked me to the back. I explained that I didn’t want too much taken off my eyebrows, that I was looking to give them shape back as it had been a while since my last wax. She didn’t even acknowledge me or that I had said anything at all. She began sugaring. The end result left my brows with less shape than when I arrived. Super disappointed.

I’ve used the sugaring service a few times and both times I had my legs done there was still lots of hair there. I had reached out to the owner to discuss this and was told my hair must not have been long enough. I don’t understand why the service was given then. They should have told me my hair wasn’t long enough so I didn’t have to waste my money.I also had the tanning service done. Which I had talked to the owner Stephanie about weeks in advance. I was promised that I would not be left orange and that it wouldn’t come off on my wedding dress. And the exact opposite happened! It stained my hands and my body bright orange and absolutely RUINED my wedding dress.

I just went for my 2nd Brazilian sugaring...a nerve wracking experience one would think but Sadie always makes me feel at ease. I tell all my friends Sugar That is worth the drive to Chatham

Amazing experience and staff. Sadie made me feel comfortable during my Brazilian sugaring appointment. Her gentle hands and technique made a usually painful experience bearable. If you haven't tried sugar at Sugar That...you're definitely missing out!

I have had body sugaring done by both of the Practitioners at Sugar That and the Ladies were great! Such a cute, clean and trendy place too, will definitely be back :)
