Budget Truck Rental

My experience is with corporate bookings. Everything went smoothly: I come off the plane, and the Budget desk is right there. A bit of paperwork, get the keys, and the car is sitting in the parking outside. The stalls are numbered and there's a huge Budget sign overhead to help find their stalls. Easy peezy lemon squeezy.

Do not trust the price that you are given through online reservation! I reserved a full size car online for $507 CAD. Upon picking the car up, before I had even stepped foot in the car, I was told that not only was the charge for the car actually $861, but they did not have the full size car that I had reserved either and had to give me an intermediate class car. The desk staff and manager are absolutely useless when resolving issues and gave me no other option than to pay for it now and try calling customer service on my own time. I have rented numerous vehicles from Budget in the past without even an issue but unfortunately I can not say that anymore. I highly suggest renting a vehicle from somewhere else at the Kamloops airport.

Booking was easy. Pick up at the airport was easy. Extremely disappointed with the All-Season tires on the rental vehicle. Barely any snow on the ground and this car is spinning it's wheels and sliding into intersections and I am driving it like an old granny on the way to Sunday bingo. I thought there were regulations for winter or all-weather tires in BC. Maybe that only applies to certain routes. Soulus TA31 tires are not good winter tires.

Airport Budget has a huge inventory and price wise it is little high but comparable with competition. Wonderful staff .

Before renting a car they were very insistent that I sign the condition report on the car without looking at it myself like all other companies. When I made of note that I hadn’t inspected the vehicle I was signing for, they got mad and made me wait 20 minutes to inspect the car. Sketchy. Found extra scuffs on the vehicle they ‘hadn’t noticed’ of course.

Got a amazing upgrade. But wasn't informed about a extra security deposit

I went through hours trying to rent via the corporate booking sector to have a vehicle delivered to Executive Flight Centre - like 6 different phone calls to people who kept telling me to call a different department - not an easy booking. Finally get a vehicle booked via the Corporate department in order to have it delivered. Then I call Budget again, make sure they are going to simply deliver as promised. Spoke to Paul who works at the Budget location and proceeds to tell me they cannot deliver unless driver fills out a long form and sends drivers license. Not one person throughout my hours long process told me that, so thats cool. I send the form to our client, who fills it out and sends it back to me. I send it to the person named Paul and then expect the car to be delivered after this entire process the following morning at 9:30 am.I call Executive Flight Center at 8:45 am - no car.I try to call Budget - no answer. When I finally get through our plane has landed and still no delivery of the vehicle.I get a hold of someone at Budget who tells me - Paul is not working today and the paperwork was never sent to Budget." There was no other email to respond to when sending in "this required paperwork" for delivery of a vehicle. So if Paul is not there

Went there with confirmed reservations but when i asked to change from 4 day rental to a 2 day rental was not only denied but than none of the other companies would rent to me either so i was screwed and told to access rent a wreck which is excusse me was located in the other side of kamloops screwed
