Crystal Star Infant/Toddler Daycare

Although my wife and I were apprehensive about putting our child in daycare at such a young age, we felt at ease after we found Gina at Crystal Star Daycare. She has been very good with our son from the get-go and very fair and professional with our family. Our son learned and developed great early social skills and boundaries under Gina's care. I'm not sure he would have learned so quickly had he not been introduced to the environment Gina provides for him. She's been able to accommodate us incredibly well with us now relying on her for full-time care. Gina has been watching our son for a year now and we trust that she's providing him with quality care everyday. Our little boy is getting along with all his friends there and we get photo updates of him having fun there everyday. Very happy to have found Gina and Crystal Star for our little one.

I would strongly recommend Crystal Star Daycare. My son stayed there for one year, and he really loves Gina. She’s amazing, kind and caring. She’s really good at communicating and updating us throughout the day. Also, the colourful lesson and outdoor activities everyday have greatly improved my son’s communication skills. At the age of 2 he can speak a whole paragraph of logical words. He loves to sing, dance, read and cleaning. We will miss her.

We were very fortunate to have both our kids with Gina over the years. She came highly recommended by friends who also had a great experience with their kids in her care. We really appreciated her transparency and communication by email and in the kids daily journals. Gina clearly has years of experience as an early childhood educator. She was always very helpful and attentive to our kids needs and reassuring to us (especially as new parents). We appreciated the play based structure to the daycare, the huge yard for outdoor time, the friendships our kids made and the comfort of knowing that they were always safe. Gina always had good instincts and never hesitated to let us know if she felt the kids needed something.

My granddaughter attended Gina’s family childcare when she was 12 months old. My daughter was nervous about leaving her child, so when it came to visiting centres and decision making I helped her.Like Gina I have been an early childhood educator for over 30 years, currently employed as a pedagogist in Vancouver. I am quite specific as to what a quality early years program should look like, so my daughter valued my input.Gina has always been friendly, caring and transparent about her program. The intimacy of the home childcare environment, the warmth of the educator and the caring space in which each child is nurtured and loved speaks volumes to who my granddaughter is becoming as a person herself.Her needs socially, emotionally, physically and mentally were met in a safe space. We will be very sad to leave Gina’s daycare as she’s become extended family.

Gina has an amazing way with children. We had our little girl in her care for over a year. She is so calm and patient with the kids. She is accommodating and it's obvious that she is very experienced with kids of all ages. My daughter has now moved onto Elementary school but she still talks of Gina and has still remembered lessons Gina had taught her (ie: sharing). Any child would be so lucky to have been at Crystal Star Daycare and I have and would recommend anyone to her daycare. Miss you Gina!!

This is our second child attending Crystal star daycare and the experience has been excellent. Gina is a excellent caregiver and our children loved going there and our baby currently enjoys the daycare very much ! Gina provides constant communication and updates with heart melting pics on what’s app and daily information in the journal of detailed daily activities.We feel so lucky to have had a long relationship with Crystal star daycare and feel at ease sending our baby there where he loves to crawl around and play outside and inside and always is smiling and happy when we pick him up.Thanks so much Gina ! Our son was just under 1 years old when he started visiting Crystal Star Daycare. Gina walked us through gradual entry and provided us with updates everyday both through photos as well as a very detailed daily journal. Gina provides many activities and also enables the kids to go outside even in the winter as long as the weather is good. The stories, songs and activities shine through as our son continues to learn everyday. We strongly recommend Gina and Crystal Star Daycare.

My son attended Crystal Star from 11 months to his 3rd birthday. I needed part time care at the time that we started, which is exactly what Gina provides. I also liked that she only has 4 kids per day because I felt that it was safer, fewer contacts for spreading illness. I liked her immediately and felt comfortable, I trust my gut on these kinds of things. I was always happy to drop my son off there because I knew that he was happy to be there and safe with Gina. We miss the small group and home atmosphere already.

My wife and I highly recommend Crystal Star Daycare. Gina took great care of our daughter starting from when she was around 15 months old. She read books and did fun activities with the kids, she shared what our daughter did that day through notebook entries and pictures sent via WhatsApp, and she has a great backyard for the kids to play around in.Our daughter loved going there and would often talk about Gina and the other kids at the daycare after she got home. She is aging out soon and needs to move on to another daycare, but we would highly recommend Crystal Star. Gina is very qualified, her daycare is loving and safe, and she gave our daughter a terrific experience. It was very easy dropping our daughter off there everyday knowing that she would be in safe hands. We’ll miss you Gina!
