Top Hat Cleaners

Top Hat Cleaners bleached 2 of my dress shirts, I picked up my newly cleaned dress shirts and dress pants and returned home, when I went to put them away and noticed that 2 of the dress shirts were bleached, I then drove back to the store to complain. The clerk kept the 2 shirts at the store and said I would need to wait a month (until Feb 28th) before the manager would return to look at the damage shirts. I went in again 2 weeks later to drop off more of my dress cloths for cleaning and the clerk said she was still waiting for the manager to return. After 5 weeks and not hearing from them I went in to the store, clerk immediately started at me with a new story that the shirts had been damaged by another dry cleaner and it wasn’t them, so I reminded her that I’ve been coming to this store and dropping of my dress cloths every two weeks for several months and that Top Hat was the only dry cleaner I have used (she knew that because she’s the only person that works at that location). She then said she remembers me bringing in the shirts for cleaning and that the collars were already bleached, I reminder her she always inspects dress shirts for staining especially the collars area before accepting shirts and if she did see a problem, she would have rejected them when I originally dropped them off, these bleached areas can’t be missed. Top Hat’s website they say, “Satisfaction Guaranteed 100%”, this is not the case and just a lie. In the pictures below you will see the 2 bleached dress shirts, you will see my shirts still have the original dry-cleaning tags on them from Top Hat and you will see Top Hat’s yellow stickers that Top Hat stapled on my shirts, and they marked the shirts as “Collar bleach by plant”.Very dishonest company, they do not stand behind their service and they are also not in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

This place is ridiculous. I went to a different Top Hat, “same day service” is in big BOLD letters on all their storefronts, that one said they don’t do same day, (I actually only needed next day service but they didn’t do that either) but this is the main Top Hat where they do the cleaning, and they would do same day or next day. I drove 20 minutes down here after trying 4 different phone numbers I found online for this location, none of which were in service. I walked in at 9:30am, to find out they DON’T do same day OR next day service, and that they were GOING HOME BECAUSE BUSINESS WAS SLOW! AT 9:30 IN THE MORNING. WHEN THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN TO 6PM!! BUSINESS IS SLOW?!?! I WONDER WHY?!?! I wanted to scream at them and make them give me $20 for gas. What a WASTE OF TIME! This wasn’t a big bag of laundry, a suit jacket and pants. 2 articles of clothing! Horrible!!

Good service and quality, I sent My clothes to this place several times and each time got cleaned very fast.

I have had two bad experiences with this company. My dad has gotten his suits dry cleaned there for years with very few issues.First was in 2012. I got a gown hemmed there and it came back ~4 inches shorter than was anticipated. The tailor pinned it at an appropriate location, but clearly did not hem it at that location. Further, it was cut diagnoally so that it was longer on one side than the other - clearly visible to the naked eye. I assumed there was a huge mistake, so I brought the dress back after trying it on at home. The lady was rude and said there is nothing she can do, including compensation. She was not even able to give me my money back and only a credit for their company (which was given after a lot of discussion). I was very upset as I had to buy another gown for the event on short notice.This week, my mom put my winter jacket with my dad's suits to be dry cleaned. When returned, there was MAJOR pilling on about half the jacket (especially on the sleeves) where there was no pilling before. The jacket went from looking nice to looking cheap and old. I was unimpressed so again I returned to see if there was anything they could do. I was helped by Lina, who was polite, however this other woman in the background was defensive and argumentative. I was not once told sorry or given any sympathy. The woman told me it is my fault or the fault of the coat-maker. In my opinion, it is not the fault of the maker that it did not dry clean. I learned that sometimes (rarely), an article of clothing can get ruined unevenly by cleaning and it is unpredictable. I suggested that before accepting a new article of clothing to tell the customer this so that they are aware and not surprised if something horrible happens. I also think they should have made my mother aware that it had come out with some errors upon pick-up. I told them my suggestions and the rude lady behind Lina scoffed and told me that they never do that as to say it was not a good suggestion. In my case, had either (or both) of those things been done, I would not be as upset as I am today.I understand that mistakes happen, but I feel that these mistakes were not brought to my attention and they tried to slip them by me. I am disappointed with the customer service as well as the services they provided.

We’ve been going to this location for almost 30 years and the service has been wonderful. Great quality and helpful and friendly service, particularly from Lina who always greets us by name and with a smile.

Have used this location (off Unity Drive) at my in-laws recommendation as they’ve been using them for 10+ years, and boy was I not disappointed!Used their services for both dry cleaning and tailoring on blazers, jeans and skirts that I needed taken in. Amazing service, timely cleaning and tailoring - love them! Tina is a whiz ♥️ Highly recommend this location!
