Great place. Job fair held here along with this there is a kid school as well

Nice splash pad, very clean and engaging. Wish there was a bit more shade for people to rest but the kids had a blast

Very interesting and informative. Different than other historical villages in that the year is 1914, not pioneer or colonial themed. The interpreters are very knowledgeable and there's lots to see. Tour guides cater to the age of the group.

(OP Edit March 2020) - I honestly can't remember when it opened back up- but oh my!!! There's at least 3 different gymnasiums now that I saw (I only took a brief look)I haven't taken a closer look at the groups being offered now- but I need to get on that (I'd love for my little guy to do a couple programs over the summer before school starts ☺️)

I have been taking the adult fitness classes here for years and years! Great mix of programs and instructors. I've met a lot of friends by joining these classes :) So excited for the expansion as well !

The village was wonderfully populated with helpful folks acting like they are from that era - it was educational and the kids had fun running around the safe open spaces. It does get a little stinky where the animals are, but that is to be expected - urbanites, you have been warned.

Seems like a good community centre so far. They have undergone renovations and the space looks clean, functional, and spacious. There’s some classes offered here and others held here like the KW Moms Club for babies and kiddos (sensory & story time activities), looks like you can book the gym for 45 minutes at a time, they provide some rec resources for low income families, there’s a coffee station, a water bottle station, bathrooms, and it’s connected to the library. Decent amount of parking, there are also some spots inside to sit by the windows and in the lobby.

Had really terrible experience there. I had sent my 3 year old daughter for the paid pre school program that they run once a week. The way they handled the program was terrible. Probably due to being a brown skinned girl in the class my daughter had very bad experience- of neglect. Today she was Sitting in her class soiled ( don't know for how long she has been sitting like that ). They didn't show the kindness to help her use washroom or check on her or give us parents a call to let us know this happened.I have personally observed my daughter being ignored when she tries to say hello or good morning to her teachers over there.I will never recommend this program to any one.

Looks beautiful & service improvements are awesome. Every penny the City spent on renovations are worth!!! The new exterior is absolutely stunning & very well done. Proud of Kitchener!!!
