activated a new line on a month to month plan (no contract, but not pay-as-you-go). Few days later I got an email saying that there had been a hard inquiry on my credit from Fido.The rep didn't mention that they would be checking my credit, I'm not sure why they had to when I was bringing my own phone and wasn't on a contract, but they did anyway, and conveniently forgot to tell me about it.

They had a chalk sign up saying 50gb for $55. They said it included visual voicemail. I said I’ll take it. After a while they said ‘oh it’s actually $65 unless you’re over age 55’. I said I’ll still go for it but they need to change their sign because it’s deceptive. After signing me up, it turned out to not include visual voicemail after all (another $7 a month), and at the time of leaving they hadn’t modified the chalk sign.

DON'T SHOP HERE! Zero stars! As a cell phone virgin, I wanted Fido’s simple $15/mo. no-contract cell phone plan. The two Fido clerks were dozy & disrespectful, claimed to have no idea about this plan tho I’d found it immediately on the website. Eventually they accessed the site & said “emergency phone calls” meant only 911 calls. They pushed hard for a $25/mo. plan & I had to tell them twice to stop talking to let me think. When I said I was going to check out other plans, they offered the 1st 2 months free “if I signed up today”. I left & happened to find WOW Mobile Boutique (Mayfair Mall). WOW compares, in layman’s terms, the best plans for your needs from Rogers, Telus, Koodo, Fido, Chatr & Public Mobile without upselling. Wow manager confirmed the clerks lied about the 911 calls to get commission. When I chose Chatr ($15/mo.), the simplest tier of Rogers, she tested my Android for compatibility & installed a SIM card. WOW will help set up your device if necessary & transfer data. My brother-in-law, there for support, was so impressed that he bought a new phone for himself and my sister!

AJ and Sundeep were very helpfull, gave us extra goodies (screen protectors and phone cases) for the two new phones we got from their store. When there was a problem with one of the phones and we returned to have them fix the problem, they were prompt and courteous. Ended up replacing the phone that was acting up with a new one. Both phones have worked fine since.

Horrible service

I go here to replace a defective phone. I wait 20 minutes at this kiosk. Nobody there, no 'back in 10 minutes,' nothing. I drive home and call instead. The guy working is rude to me, said he is the only one working today and needed a break, and also gives me completely incorrect information. I called actual Fido after this experience and they have initiated a fix.

Opened a Fido account by phone...three online attempts failed...and the connection did not work. I asked Fido at Mayfair for help, was told they could not assist me, would not even help me pay my bill, $85.27 and no calls made. Account closed at Fido's suggestion after ONE day. Just a horrible experience made worse by the indifference and rudeness of the people at this Fido store. Phone service and customer service from Hell...my opinion.

I went to change my billing information, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and provided quick service.
