The Stomping Grounds Bistro and Cafe
We went to The Stomping Grounds for a retirement party yesterday. They were able to accommodate our entire group and even opened the restaurant on a day they were supposed to be closed. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We had a soup, salad, and then our main course. I had the maple salmon which was the best I've ever had. The owner was serving as well and was very friendly and personable. He even asked our guest of honor what her favorite band was and played her favorite music overhead. This was a lovely experience and I will definitely be back.

Exceptional environment. Great food, fast and efficient. If you want to discuss hockey, Phil the owner knows it all. One on my favourite place in Cornwall.

The Stomping Grounds Bistro and Cafe
I really like Stomping Grounds. The owner is awesome and always responsive to your inquiries. The food is of good quality with reasonable prices. I strongly recommend that restaurant. On one occasion, my husband and I had a late dinner and we were the last customer of the evening. We brought our 2 months old daughter and for a reason she started to cry and nothing we did seams to calm her. The owner/ waiter changed the music to include lullabies which stop her crying. It was a really nice touch that we really appreciated.

Who knew that you could get Mussels & Frites in Cornwall? They were great with an Aoli dip and ketchup. Choice of 3 sauces, mine was bacon, beer & cream. Yum. We ended up at Stomping Grounds because another restaurant was closed. Had a quiet late lunch and a good amber beer plus a couple of wines for the lady all for under $67.

Stopped for coffee. Started for lunch.My wife and I shared an order of mussels and fries and the summer salad. Both were delicious. Other reviewers rave about the triple fried potatoes - and for good cause. Some of the best fries out there.The flat white was spot on. We're not often in Cornwall, but will return to the old Stomping Grounds when we are back in town!

I tell ya - they have a perfect grilled cheese. I stopped in for lunch today and will be back again soon. Amazing food and friendly service. Great atmosphere - complete with tables, couches and a bar.

The owner is passionate and fantastic but not over the top. The steak was quite possibly the best beef I’ve had - let the kitchen cook it how they want.

Such a cute little spot!They fit us in for dinner one evening even though they were catering for a wedding, and it didn’t affect the service or the food at all.Service was very friendly and personable.Food: we got the stuffed chicken breast, glazed salmon, Spanish risotto, and sweet potato soup. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Pictured is half the salmon and half of the stuffed chicken breast with vegetables and their famous fries, risotto, and soup.They have a small drink list but it’s sufficient.Would highly recommend and will be sure to return once we’re in the area again.

The Stomping Grounds Bistro and Cafe
Delicious, I want to come here every day. We had supper here and were served by the owner Phil. He is amazingly knowledgeable about everything food and we loved learning about the processes and origins of our dishes. We brought our 8 month old and he was incredibly accommodating. He brought out a couple small bowls of little fruits and veggies for the baby to eat, it was so kind of him. We're looking forward to dining here again.
