Good customer service and art activities for kids

I've had a great experience taking lessons with Elena, the owner of the studio. She has a gift for teaching - soft spoken, giving great tips on painting techniques, very welcoming and friendly. Elena knows art supplies. She consults on what media are better to use for a particular piece. A class time always brings more than just learning techniques. We got to know the world of art better through communication with the teacher. The studio offers some bonus events like painting outside in the summer time, making crafts in the Christmas time, workshops for kids etc. I would recommend this studio to anyone interested in developing their painting skills or curious about trying themselves in art.

Rusart is a highly professional school for kids and adults. Kids learn divers techniques from basic to advanced level. My son has been attending art class for many years, and we are pleased to see the progress he has made. He really enjoys every class, and I can see his excitement when he finishes next work and presents it to us.

I am currently in Olga Osnach class - Still Life in Acrylic - and so far it's highlight of my summer!!! She did explain all the basics of painting that I find really useful for my other and future Art projects. Price is worth her class to attend. Is this a good school or she is really great professional, who makes it so, but I am sure this place is lucky to have her set of skills. Thanks for great classes and really positive stress-free atmosphere!

Great place to study arts. I never did any arts before but was able to create great pictures just after few lessons.

Very nice private art studio. There are art classes for kids and adults, as well as special art classes, chess lessons, Russian library and art supplies store.

Elena is the most amazing art teacher I have ever met! My 14 year old son was horrible at drawing and consequently hated it. Just after a few lessons with Elena he became very confident and even passionate about art!

I studied at Rusart for two years, and was extremely pleased with Elena's individual approach to her students and their needs. You want abstract drawing? She can teach you. Need to go more academic and learn more about shapes, volumes, light and shadow, different materials? Want to master a specific media (say, oils, watercolours, or pencil drawing) or try them all? No problems. I got exactly what I needed, and I'm super happy I picked her school.

I've been taking painting lessons at RusArt for about 9 months now, and it's been fun and challenging at the same time.I had no previous experience, so I literally started from scratch. Every day I discover new ways of expressing myself in painting, and Elena is always there to help, give advice and answer whatever questions I might have. And believe me, being a teacher myself, I question other teachers a lot!;)Instruction-wise, in case there's up to 7 students in class, everybody's getting enough attention. As classes fill up quickly, make sure to reserve a spot and stick to your schedule.There's also a good selection of high-quality art supplies at the lowest prices. In general, when it comes to art supplies, Vancouver is a ridiculously overpriced city, so it's just another bonus point on top of everything else that this studio offers.
