I went to JD nails and spa this evening in hopes of a relaxing and peaceful spa experience. Little did I know it was goingto be a chop shop salon experience…I saw an ad on facebook for their promotion of 20% off because they’re under new management- well let me just say, my experience was absolutely horrible and very unprofessional. There are so many more nice, professional places in St. Albert to go get your spa services done at.Ive had 2 bad nail salon experiences in my life. And unfortunately this was one of them.Everything was going good, I was very happy until near the end when they finished the paint job on my nails and toes.My nails were not good. I asked for French tip and instead of it being a proper French tip it was more like a white square line across the top of my nail and the shape was very crooked, and they were not even close to being identical.I was willing to let that go, in hopes of a nice pedicure.The lady doing the pedicure seemed very inexperienced, she cut my cuticle leaving a bloody mess, my toenails are all rigid and way too short, and there’s shellac polish all over my foot.I could have done a better job doing this at home myself…I was very disappointed when I took a look and expressed my disappointment to them in hopes they would be understanding and give me a better discount then $110 for work that is not good at all.I was met with arguments and so I asked to call the owner, I did that and explained and told him I’m not comfortable paying $110 for a mess I'm going to take off when I get home.He argued with me and told me he was a business man, so I decided to let my boyfriend handle it and we finally came to the mutual agreement to pay $55.I paid it, and I will not be back.I highly suggest going elsewhere to save a headache for what’s supposed to be a relaxing experience.Wish they would have handled it a bit better but unfortunately I didn’t have that experience. I would upload photos of the mess but I’m not sure how to on here.

Organized a pampering day for my team at this nail salon. They accommodated our large group and provided stellar services. It was the perfect team-building event!

Visited on my birthday and they made me feel extra special. The birthday discount was a pleasant surprise. My nails looked amazing for my party!

Hands down the best nails I ever got was from here! Hanna was so precise and took care of my nails perfectly. She did it better than the image I showed her honestly. Highly recommend this place!

Very friendly staff, pedicure was excellent, not too much grating, lots of nice smelling scrub and lotion applied on legs and feet, as well as hot stone and towel. I brought my own colour, but they had the normal selections available. The only con was the tv was on sports, but there was music playing as well. Will definitely go back when in town.

Hannah did my nails and I’ve never had a more perfect set! She was so kind and took her time to make sure it was perfect ! I will be back
