I've been staying semi regularly at this hotel since 2014.The staff are prompt, courteous, competent and polite. Available 24 hours a day.The location is right in downtown Quesnel, walking distance to just about anything you'd like to see in the core.Rooms are always clean, tons of pillows and the beds are great to sleep on. Even the weird chair that every hotel room has is firm but comfortable.Historically, vehicle break-ins have been an ongoing issue during the summer. The cameras don't save your valuables while you sleep, so bring your expensive stuff inside, and try to park closer to the main entrance. When the Rocky Mountaineer train comes through every couple of weeks, the hotel is typically booked right up, so make sure you call ahead. The carpets are dated as hell, but who cares.A great recommendation in my book.10% off at the Begbie restaurant when you stay here.

Booked a room for a hockey tournament, get to the hotel and no booking, then find out that they really don't want hockey players staying there, you will get a list of rules and that's fine, but to have to pay a damage deposit and also have them checking your room daily for damages. After our first night there it's clear that we are not partying and kids are not going wild, but still feel like we are walking on egg shells, staff is rude. And on check out tried to say we did damages, I had taken pictures before hand so we new we didn't do it. Also we only slept there didn't spend much time in the room... Never again. I asked if it's normal to pay a damage deposit, no it's not only for team bookings. Rooms are hot and shower have no pressure, but it is very clean .

We booked a pet friendly room here. First the front desk could not find our reservation for roughly 20 minutes and then they lied and told us we did not book a pet friendly room (and that they do not rent out their pet friendly rooms online). I showed her online where you can book their pet friendly room but she refused to let us checkin with our dog. Do not recommend! Horrific customer service.

The hotel itself is a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. The staff is what makes the difference. The front desk staff were great and friendly. Julie who hosted our meeting in their boardroom was fantastic. The servers at the restaurant went above and beyond. It's been a long time since I have received such great service at a hotel restaurant. Jo kept me and my colleague in line each morning with fun banter and Sarah, Chrissy and Frank(I think I was Frank) kept the evenings fun when we were unwinding after a long day.Highly recommend just on the service and hospitality alone.

We stayed in the handicap room which is at the total opposite end of the hotel and the elevator. Not much seating in the room to watch tv unless you lay in bed. Also the microwave and water and ice are also at the other of the hotel. Not convenient for someone that uses a wheelchair or is handicaped. The staff did their best but I would not stay there again.

Horrible staff. “chrissy” has the professionalism of a scorpion. Her “Special needs” kid was coughing and spitting on me, just as the masks disappeared from the Pandemic, and I told him to at least cover his mouth. She said I “Walked out” on a small bar tab (that of course was charged to my room anyways, as they knew me then). Judy, the manager at that time, spoke with me, and she had a one-sided story from Chrissy. Kevin (supposedly owner) didn’t care that I spent over $20,000, to their place in a year and a half. Restaurant staff are awesome!! Don’t stay here though!! Horrible!!! I made the mistake of saying something nice 3 years ago, and can’t take that back.

We were with a group (The Rocky Mountaineer), and we were assigned this hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly. The rooms (for a 3-star hotel) were spacious. The bed was small. The bathroom was very nicely equipped; however, the towels were small and a little rough. The location was very good. We had dinner in the restaurant, and it was very good, as well.
