Wong's Ice Cream
I’ve heard about this place for a looong time and i have yet to visit, because their old store hours closes relatively early but they’ve changed that recently and not, this might be my favourite ice cream store in town. An Asian themed ice cream store with very creative and interesting, but actually great flavours. Flavours aside their ice cream quality is very well made as well, I was told that they’re all hand made at the store! The ice cream are quite milky, creamy, and never a hint of ice! Prices are fair too, definitely would recommend you checking this place out!

Small ice cream shop on gerrard with many Asian inspired flavours. Clean interior and not much clutter. Some seating available but not a ton if you're gping with a group.Great flavor profiles and selection. Nice that there are vegan and dairy free options. Great Mia of flavours and not your standard vanilla or chocolate.Price is reasonable for the size scoop you're getting. Cute that your ice cream cup is a Chinese take out container. You can get a single scoop for just over $5 But Ed will happily mix 2 flavours for you.I think he let me try almost all the flavours with s smile on his face. We purchased white rabbit, Hong Kong milk Tea, lychee lemonade, coconut mango sticky rice and kinaku Brown butter sugar. They were all amazing and I wanted more!!!There's also some beautiful hand crafted chocolates available. Didn't get to try them but the flavours also look amazing.Follow on Instagram for the ice cream flavours available and their current hours!!!So delicious and we'll be back for more. Highly recommend :)

Finally got to try this place and it doesn’t disappoint. I got the tangerine pomelo and I like how it’s not to sweet and it’s refreshing to have on a sunny day. My sister enjoyed their boozy egg tart. They do have some crazy flavours for ice cream like miso Ramen but I do like that their cups are Chinese takeout boxes and the old Chinese guy who works their is super nice. Definitely would come back here.

Not many ice cream choices... came here expecting its own store and a few dairy free choices but there were only 5 out so flavors, none of which I could eat ):

Wong’s ice creamBeen wanting to try this ice cream shop due to all the unique flavours they offer. The most famous one that have is the black sesame salted egg yolk. Very unique in flavour, it was both salty and savoury.I’ve ordered the white rabbit candy ice cream. This one is one of my favourites. It tasted just like the white rabbit candies I used to eat as a kid. Definitely recommended! The hk milk tea one was delicious too!I’ve also tried the butter popcorn Sirracha. This one was unique. It tasted like butter popcorn with a spicy to it. Only good in small amounts, I recommend sharing it.Last item I’ve tried is the malt ice cream. This one tastes just like the malt drink. Similar to a chocolate ice cream.

Before they moved from Gerrard St. East Chinatown location (east of Broadview) to Yonge & Finch, I dropped by weekly to get their excellent ice cream (not too sweet). The banana one of my favorites. Good that their ice cream available at Onyx Chocolates on south side of Gerrard St. East, near former store. I tried the Durian with chocolate condensed milk today - delicious!

May 2021. Had a pint of the Hong Kong milk tea ice cream. The ice cream itself wasn't too sweet, wasn't too cremey nor was the flavor profile too intense. Personally, I thought it was ok. I enjoy HK milk tea and I find this just doesn't have the same intense flavor. It does certainly taste like milk tea, but more of a watered down version. Wasn't too impressed. I'm sure other flavors would've been better, but given the pandemic, no servings of scoops are available. Would've liked to try other flavors as they've got some unique flavors. Would come and try again. For what I had, 3*

First time trying this place. Has a really nice variety of interesting flavours to choose from. The ice cream can be served on regular cones or sugar cones. I ordered mine to be in a cup (more specifically, Chinese take out containers). I tried the vegan mango sticky rice flavour. It was really good.

Way funky cool Asian flavours at this sweet ice cream shop but more importantly there is a lot of love and honouring of great ingredients at Wong's. They are super willing for you to taste any and all flavours which rotate all the time. My bests right now are Black Sesame Salted Duck Egg, Rosewater White Chocolate Jasmine and Chinese Milk Tea.Please follow @joannasable and @jojoinstameets for more food fun.

This ice cream place is awesome. So many neat flavours. I can't wait to go back. I had the coconut mango sticky rice and it was very tasty. There were so many other flavours I would have loved to try like the Chocolate Yuzu. Highly recommend! Also awesome vegan options.
