Canvas Method

I have taken several classes at Canvas Method and every single instructor I have encountered was amazing. Not only they are great artists in their own rights, they are dedicated instructors as well. They are supportive and give constructive feedbacks and directions to each student. My drawing/painting skills have improved so much with them. Highly recommend their classes!

I've been attending courses at Canvas Method since the start of this year and this has helped me re-discover art as a fun, inspiring creative outlet.I began with Harvey's Dynamic Figure Drawing course, followed by Justin's Creative Figure Drawing course. The energy was positive, the courses were well structured and I left with new technical foundations and inspiration.Highly recommend the school, thanks guys!

I’ve taken 5 courses with Canvas Method and all have been excellent!Justin and Steve are brilliant teachers and I’ve gained so much from their lessons. The courses have the perfect balance of technical and creative instruction and are amazing value for money. Col provided constructive feedback and clear instructions. The environment was ideal and I thoroughly enjoyed the oil painting for beginners classes. I highly recommend and they provide instruction for all levels.

Fantastic weekend workshop based on painting the clothed figure (October 2021). I enjoyed everything from the intimate studio to the instruction from Steve. Day one was spent learning about various techniques painters use to paint fabric, and day two was more focused on our individual paintings - all using a live model.Steve has a really great eye for detail and offers constructive feedback on your painting in a friendly, informative way. The instructors really know their stuff and are incredibly down-to-earth and friendly. I am not an experienced painter by means but felt more than comfortable there. Will definitely be going back!

I took the Jenny Saville Expressive Colour & Mark-Making' weekend course and had a terrific time. I'm rusty and wanted to spur up my love for art and painting again

I have attended 2 painting courses so far at Canvas Method and have loved every single second of them!I took my courses in Oil Painting focusing on portraits, with Cara as my teacher. I had never touched oil paints before the course and Cara taught everything skillfully, thoroughly, and with much patience. I never felt lost, or if I didn't know the next step to take, Cara was always there to assist.I learned a ton from these courses and couldn't recommend Canvas enough! It was a blast and I will definitely be returning for more!

I’m a returning student at Canvas Method and have had the opportunity to learn from Steve, Justin & Cara - and what a wonderful experience it has been ! Every time I take a class here, my creativity soars as I learn to tap into my imagination and I also come out with a stronger set of technical skills at the same time. The instructors are great at helping you push past through your creative blocks by providing insightful feedback. Small class sizes and one -on-one feedback helped me improve so much. I didn’t know I was capable of painting or drawing like this until i started taking classes here - highly recommend taking classes here to unleash your creative potential! So much creative energy here !!
