Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital

Thank you to all the amazing staff at VCA for your care, support and sympathy. We had the very difficult task of needing to help our dog to his final destination, and the final journey was as peaceful as it could be. The vet was kind, knowledgeable, soothing and professional This place made us and our dog feel as at ease as possible.

I'll state the bad first: the waiting time can be VERY long. We went at 8PM and waited until midnight just to see a vet, then until 2AM to see them a second time.With that being said, everybody there was kind, professional, and transparent. It is expensive compared to going to a normal vet, but that is to be expected given the emergency factor. They do ask before doing anything, however minor, and allow you to choose what you think is cost effective based off of the initial results. I would recommend this place to anybody who is seriously worried about their pet and can't wait until regular clinic hours. While pricey and time-consuming, the peace of mind and excellent care is worth it.

We brought our cat in at 12:00am for an issue. Unfortunately we had to put him down. The staff and lead doctor were so compassionate and understanding, even thought they had multiple emergencies that came through their door while we were there. It felt like they really cared about our cat. I didn't properly thank the night shift doctor because I was grieving so I'm leaving this review. If you bring your pet here, they will be treated well.

It was a very long wait today but I brought our cat in through emergency and knew I would have to wait for an ultrasound as they are full until the first week of may. I didn’t realize the wait would be that long but at the end of the day from reception to the ER doctor, everyone was amazing. They went out of their way any time I asked about my Shadow. Thank you to all the staff that works there and your amazing patience and empathy for the many owners I saw come through there today! Our darling girl is actually eating now for the first time in a week as well as drinking water and looking bright eyed which we haven’t seen for a while. ❤️

Dr Benson and Chandler were amazing in our unfortunate experience. Staff was most accommodating on visits. Adrian, Head of Emergency, was very up front and honest..we thank him for that

I have had two separate (and very different) experiences here, and both were as as positive as could be, especially given their difficult nature.My first experience was in June 2020 when I had to bring my 11 year old Greyhound, Turbo, for specialist attention. He got sick very quickly and it was gruesome, to say the least. He was seen quickly and, although it was not what we wanted to hear, we received a fast diagnosis. It was terminal and the vet that we spoke with ( I can't recall her name, unfortunately) was kind, compassionate and patient. Later that day, we had our dear, sweet Turbo euthanized and the staff was very accommodating and sensitive to our heartbreak and throughout the devastating process.In March 2022, I brought my beloved, 10 year old Chihuahua, Hazel, for a high-risk dental extraction surgery. The overall staff was wonderful, attentive and kind. And the team in the dental department was exceptional. Dr. Huffman, Victoria and Alyssa were all incredibly patient, understanding, caring, thorough and kind. They took incredible care of my sweet Hazel and were in constant communication with me before, during and after Hazel's surgery. They even sent me pictures after Hazel's surgery and were texting with me to provide updates and check in on Hazel after she came home. I was so incredibly nervous and worried about my baby, but Dr. Huffman, Alyssa, Victoria and the rest of the team were an incredible support throughout and took such great care of Hazel and me! I can't thank them enough and recommend them very highly <3

We travelled about 5.5 hours to Oakville for surgery for our dog Samson and we were blown away by the experience. We were not entirely sure what to expect but everybody we dealt with there was so kind & caring and they made us feel so comfortable leaving our boy in their care. I don't recall the names of all of the front desk staff and the various nurses we dealt with but they were just so great at what they do and Dr. Kirsch and Dr. Nutt were fabulous! You can really tell how much they care about the individual pet patient - even though they deal with sick/injured pets every day, they were so very compassionate and not just going through the motions of their every day duties. The care and communication was incredible and I would recommend this hospital to any person who ends up needing surgical care for their loved one. I cannot stress enough how pleased we were with the entire experience. THANK YOU, MOVEH!

MOVEH has been an amazing and wonderful emergency clinic in this hard time during the staffing shortage in the veterinary industry. As a RVT in Toronto and owner of 4 animals it is a very scary time having pets as emergency clinics have now been turning away patients. MOVEH was the only emergency clinic to take a patient of ours and then even my own dog when he has a critical time-sensitive emergency. I will forever be thankful for them to doing all they can in this tough time. They took my dog in right away and even with a 4 hour wait time they did everything they can and I am so thankful to the for that.

We just brought our little Havapoo, Romeo, into the clinic out of an abundance of caution because he had consumed something that he shouldn't have! We noticed that he was shaking and throwing up. During the drive to the clinic, he improved. The receptionists and the technicians were professional, thorough, kind, and honest! Instead of trying to make a profit off of Romeo, they were very honest. They informed us that his vitals were fine and that he looked alright! They suggested that we keep an eye on him for the next twenty-four hours. We hope that Romeo doesn't have any other health issues for the rest of his life, but if he does, we will definitely bring him back here!
