Out of the 3 Electricians who visited our home for a consultation for some electric work for our kitchen range, Stephen of JEM Electric Services was the only one who provided a detailed explanation of the work to be done with a smile and professionalism. Our experience with Stephen was great from start to finish. We had sought his services because a portion of the lights in the house we purchased last July had suddenly stopped working without an explanation. As new homeowners this was very stressful, and we hadn't a clue where to start the troubleshooting process.After contacting Stephen through his website I received a response later that day and luckily he thought the issue minor and was able to schedule an appointment later that day. Upon arrival, Stephen diagnosed the issue within seconds of opening the panel. Turns out whoever serviced the panel last had wired it incorrectly, causing the fuse to trip perpetually. As new homeowners we really appreciated that Stephen took the extra time to explain the inner workings of our switch box, the details of the problem/solution, and how to begin troubleshooting the next time we run into an issue.It was a full package experience that left us with the feeling that we had just had the pleasure of working with an honest business. Needless to say we found our go to electrician.

I contacted Stephen and a dozen other companies for help with the installation of an inverter and battery bank in my home. After doing my research, I had a specific manufacturer in mind to supply the equipment, and ended up buying out of province due to local supply issues. Of all the companies I contacted, only Stephen was willing to take the job of installing a system he did not sell directly. In the end, we did eventually find an experienced installer who worked with Stephen to do the install and configuration, but Jem did all of the associated electrical work on this job. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of work, attention to detail, and great attitude of the guys. They will be my first call for all future electrical work on my properties. I can't recommend them enough!
