Shoppers Drug Mart

Grimsby once had the best little Shoppers drug mart. That’s drastically changed during corporate mergers and the drive to maximize profits while cutting costs.Today we went to Shoppers and had the same experience as other times. No one at the the front checkout. They had 3 self check outs and that was the only option. No wonder the place is a ghost town. They don’t know there clientele. The loss of the human touch is gone.I have moved away from the pharmacy to a local place. The only reason I had gone in today was due to convenience. Unfortunately the experience was less than stellar. This cookie cutter approach just drives people away. It’s not like Shoppers has great prices.My recommendation to people is to look at a smaller pharmacy where you can get a better customer experience. Additionally for other products move to Superstore instead. Same company overall but a better experience.

I cannot say enough about this Shoppers and in particular Brenda the pharmacist who helped me last Sunday (long weekend).I caught my first Covid virus that day and spent the entire day trying to get a prescription. First clinic didn’t complete the prescription properly so it couldn’t be filled. They closed early so with no response it looked like I wouldn’t get medication till TUESDAY. Tried three phone in medical operations. The first had a waiting time of 12 hours.!Finally with a three hour wait I got a second Dr who incorrectly filed the prescription format again.By now everywhere was closing.Brenda saved my day by working with a recent blood work I had and even bringing the medication out to the car. As it was a long weekend I had no one to pick it up.She was caring professional and so very helpful thinking outside the box with my desperate case.As long as she works at shoppers I will go no where else.Eric Barnes

I visited the pharmacy on July 29 to fill my prescription at about 8:14 am. The pharmacist told me the wait time was 25 minutes. After about 30 minutes, I returned only to be told to wait a few more minutes which turned into 20 minutes. My order was a few tablets, not a mixture of different components. Eventually, when the prescription was ready, a very impatient, rude, and abrupt lady gave it to me; no apology was given for the delay.I expected a better service from this place. Two things happened that could have been dealt with differently—the delay without a reason or an apology and the bad behaviour displayed by the pharmacist. I deserve and demand better from this pharmacy.

Moved to this pharmacy a couple months ago, the pharmacist has been helpful in recommending off the shelf products for my needs. When filling prescriptions, we've had a positive experience. Recently, I phoned to have a prescription refilled, needed it same day and delivered since we had Covid. The technician told me the driver was busy but they'd speak with him and see if it was possible... and a few hours later the precription arrived. I am very thankful they were so accomidating.

Went to get some help on getting several different types of perfume for me,but the lady that was working there decided not to address me when I walked in. I choose to still walk around and look at all the perfume but so did not come to ask if i needed any help but she in turn decided to help someone that came in after me. . So I felt like she decided that I didn't have any money to spend. I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THIS LOCATION AT ALL they is other business that I can go to

I bought my makeup on Amazon for $13, the price at shoppers is $23. They are following super store with high prices. Rip off

Told druggist I just finished a Chemo treatment and asked her advice/help with a drug solution.She was very nasty ,gave me WRONG information and snapped back that the common drug given to Cancer patients on Chem was not purchased at her dispensary.This Shoppers is a disaster!

This is the second time me and my fiancé has gone into this store and experienced blatant racism. On July 1st we came into the store looking for a cosmetic product. The cosmetologist did not greet us, smile or acknowledged that we came in; (our guess is because I am black and my fiancé is caucasian) because other caucasian customers came in after us and was politely greeted by her. I asked her about a perfume that I was interested in and she was abrupt showing me the product, with no customer service, showed that she did not even care. My fiancé would have purchased the product but due to her behaviour we did not bother. This is unacceptable in this day and age for people to treat others in this manner especially when we are spending our hard earned money is just disgusting! We will avoid this store if we can; also report this to the BBB, to Shoppers customer service department and also on your store's website! Just disgusting!

Would have been nice to have at least one cashier on duty when checking out. I don't use self check out normally.As I was half way through the transaction a cashier came to assist me because my partner went to find a staff member and I couldn't wait any more.I just prefer a cashier on duty. When the cashier asked if I needed help, I replied No" The cashier then walked away with nothing to say.Will not be going back to this store if this is allowed to be the norm."

WORST!!! pharmacy ever. You will stand at the counter waiting to be acknowledged but everyone is too busy to do that. You'll have to do their job for them because the pharmacy team is all incompetent and even worse they are all full of attitude. My business is going elsewhere. There is no accountability for anything anymore. Nobody cares about doing their job well.
