Farm Boy

I was delighted with my experiences when finally coming across the Farm Boy brand. Think of Trader Joes meets Whole Foods and some sort of compromise on selection and size. Particularly a fan of the prepared food section and hot-table, although not a fan of the limited hours of it.

I ❤️ FARMBOY. Hands down my favourite grocery store in town. Also, they have the BEST RIB EYE STEAKS, SHRIMP SKEWERS & BURGERS AROUND TOWN!

This is my favourite place to shop for the freshest vegetables in my area. I always look for deals though as it is a tad more expensive than some nearby places. However their fresh food lasts longer. Their meats are great too but again the prices are a bit higherI am a bit disappointed that the Rideau Bakery breads ( especially the rye bread) that many Ottawans know and loved for over 50 years, is not offered absolutely fresh and still warm as the former bakery used to do.When the much loved bakery closed, Farm Boy took it over to the delight of everyone! The ovens are presumably still the same. So why freeze the bread before distributing it to stores? On the positive side the Rideau Bakery bread is still amazing and still taste almost the same. Thanks for that.

This used to be my favourite grocery store but I’m fed up with the terrible quality of produce. This is the third time this month that I buy a package of produce that turns out to be rotten and mouldy. I’m paying a premium and being ripped off. I’m done with farmboy!

Nice store. Very well stocked. I like that they have reorganized the inside to make the shopping experience better. The organic section keeps growing, which I very much like. The staff is usually friendly. The hot food bar is very good, but not as good as stocked other Farm Boy’s. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an improvement to their grocery shopping situation.

Requested pricing from a staff member. He blew us off quickly and told us to go to the cashier for the price check. We will not return to this store.

Produce is not fresh. Carrots were thrown in garbage. Egg plants past best before date. Peppers were not firm. They don't carry Natrel 2% or Tropicana. Loblaws are not known for products they can't low ball. This has been a problem for over a year and not getting better. Their prices do not project the poor quality of their produce. $7.46 for a butter nut squash.

Purchased the turkey dinner for Easter. It was a large, heavy box, but the young man working in this department offered to carry it out to my car. It would be helpful if possible, to package the meal in two separate containers for ease of transporting (too heavy!). The meal was delicious we all agreed, perhaps a little too salty. That would be the only complaint.There were lots of leftovers to enjoy the next day!

Super friendly store and super fresh food. I tried their rib eye steaks last week rubbed with salt, pepper, Lebanese garlic sauce and olive oil and they were the best steaks I ever had.

Great selection and well stocked at this location. We got a FANTASTIC cake from here, and fully filled our picnic basket for a day at the park. Almost always better quality fruits and veggies compared to other chains. I do recommend coming here for a new experience shopping.
